This VelociTrek - brand chair rug provides a protective surface between my office chair and the vinyl-plank flooring that covers my office space. It looks good, and I like the printed decorative pattern a lot. The polyester material lays flat and wears well, too. It is easy to clean, and should last a long time. I love this mat. We already have one of those plastic roller mats but it's ugly and anything that gets underneath it leaves smudges - we have hardwood floors. I got this mat to go underneath it to provide a small amount of padding against the rolling and for asthetic reasons. The design is pretty, lightly colored and easy to clean. The backing is non-slip but is made of a material that doesn't flake or fall apart. It is smooth underfoot and clearly designed to be a similar to a floor as possible. It’s just ok. I should have bought a rug instead. Doesn’t feel good in bear feet. The cat is using is as a scratching mat. He’s never done that. The creases from folding were are to come out. I should have gotten a bigger one. Read more
I work from home and have been using one of those plastic mats since 2020. I never really liked it, it was too small so my chair legs roll off all the time and get stuck or it would roll too well and my chair wouldn't stay in place. I kept thinking about changing it up, but I didn't want another of what I already had and when I thought of rugs, I assumed it would get bunched up and be even worse. When I saw this, my wishes had finally been answered! It is larger than the plastic mats(I ordered the 48x60), it looks really good, has a strong rubber backing to keep it in place, and low pile to make rolling my chair easy! Did I say it looks really good, yeah, it looks really good. I picked the color listed as pink, but it is much more like the photos look, more maroon-reddish with blue. It is really fun and pretty. I did leave it laying flat on the floor for a couple days to help get the folds out and then after I put it under the chair they continued to flatten out. This floor mat comes folded into a rectangle, which is the one thing that I ended up not liking about it. I laid it flat for an entire weekend, and the wrinkles did not flatten out. As a result, it bunched up and slipped around when I moved my chair. I eventually gave up on using it where I wanted to use it. I may need to wash it before it will really behave. That said, it has a soft and comfortable texture, a solid feel, a nice thin profile, and attractive colors and design. I like the generous size as well. I ordered this for a home office that has wood laminate flooring. It is brilliantly colored and stands out. It adds a nice amount of color and covers enough of the area that you can roll backwards in your chair a bit and still be on the rug. It is soft, easy to vacuum and stays where you put it. I believe I could wash it in our machine and hang it to dry, but I haven't tried it yet. It could be a bit too heavy for that. My business partner is not big on rugs, but absolutely loves this.
