The drop-and-charge design works exactly as advertised - I just set my PS5 controller on the dock and it starts charging right away without needing to line anything up. Charging time isn’t much of a concern for me since I usually place it on the dock after I’m done playing at night, but within a few hours it’s fully ready to go again. I also really like the RGB lighting - it’s subtle, not distracting, and adds a nice glow that fits in well with my gaming setup. All in all, this is a solid, no-fuss charger dock. Wanted to try a dock to charge my controllers that was a little more aesthetic and other than charging them individually. While I wish it was more sleeker I do enjoy the ambient light that is produced by this. It’s nice and doesn’t take too much space. The charge speed feels pretty quick compared to the cord method. Overall at about $20 this is a good value and getting close to a great value when it’s a bit under $20 for a PS5 dual controller charging dock with RGB lighting that works with both the original DualSense and the Edge controller. Setup was very easy – it was basically plug the USB-C cable into the dock, plug the other end into the PS5 or a wall adapter, and drop the controllers on. From a functionality and compatibility standpoint I really like that it uses the bottom contacts instead of the USB-C port on top, so you’re not wearing out the charging port, and it handled both a regular PS5 controller and an Edge without needing any adapters. The “drop-and-charge” design works well: as long as you set them down in roughly the right spot they click in and start charging, and it brings a low controller back up to full in a couple of hours which is perfectly fine for my use. The 9-mode RGB light ring around the base is a nice touch and actually looks good on a desk or TV stand, and you can switch colors or turn it off if you want things more subtle. Build quality feels decent for the price – the plastic housing and cradle feel solid enough and the controllers sit securely without wobbling. The included USB-C cable isn’t super long, so depending on your setup you might want a longer one, but overall for a compact dock that charges two PS5 controllers reliably and adds a bit of RGB flair, I’m happy with it around $20. This charger station is a winner.. It’s well made and seems very durable and ready for any gamer. Setup is quick, simple and painless even for parents like me who aren’t gamers. My kids loved it especially with the ambient lights. They also love how the charging indicator works and you can see the charging level. It works great and does exactly what it’s intended for. It also just looks nice vs seeing those controllers laying around everywhere so I’m happy about that lol I would definitely recommend it to anyone and for the price it’s worth every penny and a great value for the money.
