I have not installed the lights yet but I have used multiple different types and brands of solar lights both the smaller, yard type lights like this and the bigger streetlight type lights. Just based on first impressions, these lights are brighter than most that I have tried of BOTH types and distribute the light in a pretty wide circle. I had a supposed 11,000 watt street light that was nearly 2 feet long and this little light is brighter and in a wider arc than that thing was. Tho they are plastic, they feel pretty sturdy and well made. I really like all of the options available on the remote for the automatic cycles. There are many to choose from beyond the standard “off with no motion, on with motion” and “always on but dim”. I have purchased other lights where there were only three options to choose from, and you could not change any of the aspects of the programmed cycle. There are EIGHT options on the remote with these! I might feel differently after I have used the lights for a few weeks, but as of right now, I am really impressed with these lights for the price. My question will be If they hold up over time, and if the solar panel is large enough to collect enough sun for several hours of bright light overnight. Read more
These lights are great. I installed them over our firwood rack in our side yard. The area is always dark, but now there is a dim light to allow you to see where your going but as you get closer the motion detector kicks on and it lights up the entire area with nice bright light. I assume the battery works thoughout the night but im never out past midnight most night, but it works flawlessly up until my bed time.. if your thinking about getting these i would definately recommend them.. Work about half the time. Doesn’t hold enough charge. Found they work better in off / motion mode. If you have them on at dusk they die after a few hours. Not bed for the cost. Bright light when working!! Just wish the battery was better. Read more
