Great introduction to the Olaplex brand! I’d been hesitant to try Olaplex, not only because of the cost & fear of waste should it not work for my specific hair type, but also due to the word “bonding” used in the product name. I have somewhat thin, porous hair that lays down and gets stringy with products that leave a “protective coating”, which is why the word “bonding” was throwing me off. It also gets crispy at the ends about a month before my every 3 months hair appointment & stringy halfway through my day when worn down, requiring multiple brush outs a day to maintain. In search of a product that will manage the crispies and really allow me to enjoy my length, I finally took the plunge with this sample kit. OMG I was BLOWN AWAY! Expectations were far exceeded after the first use! Not only did the shampoo clean without stripping, but the conditioner (when applied from ear to tip, avoiding the roots) instantly transformed my hair. For the first time in my life, my hair was silky smooth AND kept its style all day without tangling and becoming stringy. Just beautiful, long, soft hair. The next day, I returned to my usual products - back to crispy ends, tangling, & stringy halfway through the day. The following day, after Olaplex, PERFECT hair again. Being a cheapskate (but also not wanting to ruin the magic), I immediately purchased a set of Olaplex shampoo & conditioner from a discount chain store known for carrying designer brands for less. The only version available was the fine hair formulation, which I figured would be better for my hair long term anyway. Yes, the fine hair version is nice - cleans without stripping, seems to be somewhat hydrating - but the wow factor of silky smooth without becoming stringy just wasn’t there. Again, another wash & condition using the samples provided in this kit - magic hair again! Not sure what the voodoo is in this formulation, but shut up and take my money. I was so excited to get the Olaplex travel set. My hair is dull and frizzy, and on top of that, my scalp is super dry and flaky. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the shampoo and conditioner from this brand, and I finally got to try them. Since it’s the travel size, I only got about three uses out of the shampoo and conditioner, and I know that’s why I haven’t seen much of a difference in my hair yet. The shampoo is good you don’t need to use much, it suds up really well, and it rinses out easily. I used it about three times, and while I haven’t noticed any big changes in how healthy my hair looks, it does clean my scalp and hair pretty thoroughly. They are the little bottles, so I figured I wouldn’t see real improvement from them anyway you probably need to use it more than three times. For the conditioner, I had to use a bit more. I massaged it into my hair, let it sit for a few minutes, then rinsed it out. My hair felt soft and had a nice shine to it afterward. It was also way easier to brush because there weren’t many tangles. Both the Shampoo and Conditioner leave my hair smelling so good. The scalp treatment is pretty good I got about three uses out of the small tube, and it left my scalp feeling nourished and moisturized. The hair oil is my favorite! It nourishes my hair and really helps with the frizz. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or leave it looking oily or greasy. The bond smoother is great for taming frizz also, adding a little shine, and it smells good. It doesn’t weigh down my hair and helps moisturize it. I’m going to go ahead and get the bigger bottles of the shampoo and conditioner to see if consistent use makes a bigger difference. I’m hoping that the more I use it, my hair will start looking healthier and more alive. If you’re trying this out for the first time like me and want real improvement, these little travel-sized bottles aren’t going to cut it go for the bigger ones if that’s what you’re after. Read more

Bought this mainly for the bond oil. This is, of course, TRAVEL size items but it should last several washes and with one wash my curly hair was amazing. The curls even held up overnight. Love it. Read more

I not recomend, I bought the set travel and used for two weeks. Don't feel any change in my hair and I lost more hair. The oil leave very greasy the hair and shampu and conditioner look dont clean well the hair. Maybe in other elmans working i listed a lot of reviews about that brand I my personal case dont like it.
