This is a really nice pea coat for the money. The fabric is very thick and it is quite soft. The belt is great and tends to stay belted when you wear it. The coat is well made in relation to both fabric and general construction. It arrived to me pretty wrinkly, but a little steaming took the wrinkles right out. This pea coat is warm and perfect for our cold New England winter days. The color is very neutral so you can wear it with just about anything. I ordered this because I wanted a nicer coat to wear when I'm more dressed up. This fits the bill nicely. I do wish it had an internal tie or a button to keep it closed. The belt ties securely, but it gapes a bit at the top. That is likely due to the design. This isn't tailored at all. It's a kimono-like in its design. The V neck is not as defined as in the photo and if I try to create that same open V look it doesn’t look so form fitting. This jacket is cute but I made a mistake and got a large (I wanted this cream color and when I ordered it, I was only able to get large in the cream, but I'm really a medium or small. Size 4/6) I wish it would have an interior tie like some robes do. Otherwise I do really like it and since it's a bit oversized, it's really comfortable even with a sweater under it. Not super thick but definitely not thin. So I'd say it's not for the worst cold (unless you layer really well) but it's warmer than a spring jacket. Sleeves are long which is great. Read more

Living in Florida, I rarely have need for a coat or even a jacket. However, when it does get cold here and I have to go somewhere "nice", this fits the bill. The material is just heavy enough to provide warmth without bulk. It's almost a cross between felt and gabardine, if that makes sense. I like the shorter length. The sleeves are a tad long, but they look all right and you can roll them up if you want. There's no closure, just the belt. One star deducted for no pockets. Read more
