Just a little will do you, and it's a good choice if other products make you skin itch and peel
A few decades ago, I found Mennen stick deodorant, and I liked it so much, I thought I'd use it for the rest of my life. After a few sticks, my underarms started to itch and peel, and I had to find something else. I found Old Spice Classic Deodorant Stick, and the peeling went away. So I've been using the Old Spice for the last 3 decades. If you use only a little, it will keep you from smelling for at least 24 hours. It's a continual challenge not to use more than necessary. Sometimes, when you get down to the end of the stick, it runs out of Active Ingredient, and it doesn't last half a day. It doesn't happen with every stick, just one out of four, approximately -- the other three will be effective to the end. If the deodorant fails right at the end, toss the old stick into the garbage and start a new one. It's really the very bottom of the stick that is problematic, so there would have only been two or three days remaining, so if you have to throw it out, it wasn't a lot of waste. Remember, it's not that your body chemistry is suddenly having a bad day, so don't get too alarmed. It's just that your stick was only effective for 99% of its length, and you need to start a new one, tomorrow, and use just a little. One mistake would be that instead of throwing out the end of the stick, if instead you try to apply a lot of it the next day -- but that doesn't work, because the Active Ingredient is simply missing from the last 1% of the stick. So, instead of being smelly an extra day, recognize that the old stick needs to be thrown out, and it's time to start a new one. Read more
