I am a tough customer when it comes to shoes. My planters fasciitis will act up if I do not have the right kind of footbed and support. This Olukai shoe has excellent arch support. ( Most of their shoes are known for good arch support and quality shoes). From the look of the shoe I was expecting a lot of squish in the footbed and when I tried it on I was surprised at how firm the foot bed was. After wearing for a while I noticed how comfortable my feet were. The footbed has stability over squish. I'm not sure if this kind of molds to your foot over time but it is amazingly comfortable. The sole has excellent traction that can be worn for pretty much everything, anything from hiking, walking, working in yard, or shopping. It is great in wet conditions and not slippery and gives you good grip. This has become my walking shoe because they are just that comfortable. I ordered the darker grey/black and the dirt does not show and seems to just fall off the body of the shoe. I have worn these in messy and wet conditions and they still look brand new. These are water resistant as well. I ended up in the rain and my feet stayed dry and I washed a car in these and my feet stayed dry. Size: I am usually a 9 in a sandal, and a 10 in an athletic shoe. I ordered a 10 in this and I might have been able to do a 9 1/2. I have a medium width foot and these fit great with room to spare. I would not call this a narrow fit. The listing says to order a size up, I am not sure I agree with that. Maybe 1/2 size up. Overall, I love this versatile All -terrain shoe! These are very, very comfortable sneakers. They have the high quality footbed that Olukai is known for giving my foot the support I need without tons of bounce like a Hoka. I have a screw in my right 5th metatarsal. This means shoes with loads of bounce irritate my foot as the titanium screw doesn't bend like bones bend, but I need supportive shoes with firm bottoms to support my foot. The shoe has the right amount of cushion without overdoing it. These shoes do run narrow, so they are perfect for my narrow foot. The support is on point as the fit for my size 10 foot. These shoes also keep my foot dry as my feet tend to get sweaty as the day goes on. I wear breathable socks and these shoes really do help to keep my feet dry. The grip on the bottom is good on tile at work and dirt on casual hiking trails. The footbeds wash well and don't hold onto my sweaty foot odor. I did spray these with 3M Scotchgard spray to protect my new bright white/coastal blue shoes. They took the 3M spray well without discoloration or texture issues. The bright white isn't really bright white. The lightest part is the top where the laces come out. The rest of the shoe is a grey and beige combo. The sole is the coastal blue and is such a great highlight shoe. The laces and tab are pink. The combo is on point. It gives this shoe a sophisticated athletic look. These sneakers from OLUKAI are very nice. I absolutely love my new tennies. What I like the most is that you can remove the insole and put in your own. I have prescription insoles that I pop in them, and my feet are comfortable all day long. However, the insoles that come with these sneakers are cushy and have arch support too. They call it an "Anatomically Contoured Footbed". They have a mesh and suede upper, and the sole is "Wet Grip Rubber" which has some good deep tread and is thick. They look sporty and fashionable for the gym which is where I wear mine most. In the description it says that these shoes run small and narrow. I didn't find that to be the case. I wear and 8.5, that is what I ordered and these sneakers fit perfect. I will say though that I find them to be a bit narrow toward the middle of the shoe when putting them on. But once I get past that they fit fine. At the time of this review, you have your choice of three different colors and the price for these sneakers is $150.00. I probably wouldn't pay that much for a pair of sneakers, but these are a high-quality nice pair of shoes. Read more
