Tried these alongside the Ainsley UGG slippers and returned the UGGs. These are more supportive and better made. Big plus: the footbed is not thick shearling or overly furry, so they don’t feel hot, squishy, or matted over time. Still cozy, just more comfortable for extended wear. They stay on securely when walking, feel supportive enough to wear around the house all day, and work well for quick trips outside like grabbing the mail or stepping onto the porch. Fit tip: I usually wear an 8.5 and sized down to an 8 for a more fitted slipper – toes needed more space. Exchanged for size 9 and they’re perfect! Very good quality, well-made slipper/shoe with suede uppers, sheepskin partial lining (sides and heel), padded footbed and thin rubber soles (flat, no grooves). I live in the NE USA and bought these as a warm, lightweight winter shoe so I don't have to wear thick socks for 5 months. In dry conditions, you can walk outside very comfortably in these, but they don't have any traction for rain, snow or ice. They fit true to size but are a little snug at first - would be great if they came in wide width and half-sizes, to accommodate the sheepskin inside. Overall very pleased with this purchase. I just got my new Olukai Noheas tonight - brought 'em in from the ICE COLD at my front door. - 21F outside as I peck this review! I put 'em on right out of the box, and even f-f-freezing cold they literally made my knees buckle when I stood up. Without any reservation, I can say these are THE MOST comfy, foot-forming, fleece-lined slipper I've ever owned. I've bought many winter slippers at Amazon, LLBEan, REI, even expensive UGGs in my lifetime, and none compare to these Noheas. I think the KEY difference is that these are the first fleece-lined slippers I've ever owned with a soft, arch-formed insole (that's removable for washing). Virtually ALL of my other fleece-lined slippers had NO insole and NO support for my feet or posture. Over time, as the fleece wore down, my foot would start to rotate in or out, putting strain on my knees, hips and lower back. I've tried a variety of sole inserts in my other slippers - everything from gel to firm, but nothing would work. I'd find my toes jammed up against the toe box, or the insert rock hard, or too short so it'd cut against the soles of my feet. These Noheas have a perfectly fitted inner sole that has BEAUTIFUL arch support that makes me feel like I can stand straight, knees not proned, feet flat and not tilted in or out. What a difference! Even my back thanks me. I wear a size 8 and had thought about ordering up a size? Didn't need to! Of course that's cuz I'll wear these slippers in my bare feet. Perhaps if I wore them with sox I'd have ordered the 9. TOO BAD the colors are just about all sold out in my size .... Ah, I'm going to just enjoy these slippers as long as it's winter. And then, come summer, I'll slide into my Olukai sandals - of which I have several pairs. As I sit here, I can't even tell I have any slippers on at all, they are that comfortable. These are nice slippers. Good support and comfortable. However, definitely size up one size. I usually wear a 7.5 and got an 8. They were too small so I had to return and get a 9. I’ve never worn a 9. Also, these slippers are overpriced. I suppose you’re paying for the name. Read more
