Hardcore Juicers Beware: This machine stops if making several liters at once. This machine is best for people making juice for themselves. The Omega JC3000 is my first juicer. I had been recommended cold press masticated juicing because blending fruits and vegetables upset my stomach. The unit is a good one and is on par with products like Vitamix (of which i own 2 models of) The juice that comes out is quite dense looking, so that is a good sign to prospective juicers/customers. (See picture) The unit is good but not as powerful as the mid tier or top tier model cold press masticating juicers Omega offers. So for this unit you will need to chop up harder fruits and vegetables like Carrots and Celery. It is simply not powerful enough to take in the entire stalk. (1 inch pieces recommended) Assembly and Disassembly can be difficult, but all you have to do is line up the pre marked spots for the juice screen and it will pop in. The auger can be difficult to get in, centering it and giving it a twist should get it in. If the cap doesn't go on then the unit will not start, that also means the auger isn't all the way in. A common complaint is the unit is defective and doesn't start. (see above) if the auger isn't installed correctly the juicer's top will not be able to make contact with the safety switch and therefore will not start. The top must be flush and the tab must switch onto the "Closed" position in order for the unit to receive power. Cleanup can be difficult due to the debris chute having a tab in it. But with a little bit of effort its easy enough to get out. Fibrous vegetables and fruits will get into the juice screen quite frequently, the included brush will take care of that in 2-4 minutes with some scrubbing. The auger will also frequently have debris in the gear channel, this is very easily to clean with the provided brush pick. The pulp that comes out is quite dry, though sometimes wetter stuff like watermelon will still be quite wet. This can be alleviated by alternating some harder stuff like carrots then watermelon, it seems to help it bind together and get squeezed better. Pne last thing is the pitchers it comes with is 33.8 oz or around that. it should fill up a trader joe's juice bottle. Just don't try to fill the entire pitcher up or you'll end up spilling a lot of it. (Coandă effect) Read more

Seriously great, the only issue is the last item you send in gets mashed but will not juice, so you need to sacrifice a carrot or something, otherwise great and delicious Read more

On February 10, 2025 I purchased the: Omega Juicer Cold Press 365 Vertical Slow Masticating Extractor for Fruits and Vegetables, BPA-Free, 65 RPM, 150-Watts, White. It worked for a couple of months. I put it away clean in May and it was still working at that time. I took it out of the cabinet today 7/11/2025 and it does not turn on. I searched the internet for possible issues. Something was mentioned about the magnet in the hopper and if it was missing the unit will not turn on. I checked and everything appears to be in place. I am very frustrated with this purchase. I have an older more expensive Omega juicer, and it still works. I do not recommend this juicer "Omega Juicer Cold Press 365 Vertical Slow Masticating Extractor". What a waste of money. I think that I will purchase a different brand of juicer next time. Read more

The two biggest complaints I read before purchasing is 1)to much pulp being left unjuiced in the strainer basket, around the auger and ) the motor overheating. Let me start with my juicing experience, Ive owned a horizontal Omega brand juicer (pictured) that I have used for about 15 years! It still works amazing and Omega knows how to make a great juicer!! I only decided to add a vertical masticating juicer to make softer produce easier to juice. -Horizonal is better for fiberous (celery, pineapple, greens and carrots) veggies and vertical is best for soft (citrus, grapes, tomaroes, cucumbers). Either can work for both its just the facts that soft does better in a vertical. Lets talk about the Omega 365 overheating. Ive juiced with this juicer at least once sometimes twice a day since receiving it. I make between 28 and 32 ounces at a time. Ive been using this Omega 365 jc3000 exclusively for both the soft and fiberous fruits and veggies just to push its limits and see if I should keep it or send it back. It HAS NOT overheated or bogged down once. Its a little powerhouse for its size! As far as pulp in the strainer basket/ around the auger. Yes, there is pulp in there. Its quiet normal as this is a SLOW juicer. It isnt just going to magically sling the pulp and eject it. Because it juices slowly fruits and veggies are crushed between the auger and strainer being fed down by its weight through the auger and NOT just violently whirled around. Thats a good thing. Fast juicers heat up your expensive precious produce. Keep that in mind. Slow is good and the pulp that didnt get remove from the basket is ok. Its a Tbs or 2 at the most of juice and the juice its made is still cold pressed and full of nutrients. Compaired to my older juicer the pulp left around the auger is about the same. This morning I juiced: 1 head celery that I cut into about 3" pieces, 2 uncut carrots that the machine chomps through and pulls in and 5 small quartered tomatoes and got a full 28 ounces!! Thats impressive IMO! After everything is throufh let the machine run on high for a few seconds while tipping it toward the juice pitcher. Its not necessary but I like to get every drop of juice out. I try to not use the pusher unless something gets stuck in the shoot, as slow juicing is good juicing. Youll get the most yeild by letting a juicer juice slowly and not cramming produce through as fast as possible :) A couple of things to keep in mind. There is a little red gasket (pictured) on the bottom of the fruit bowl that you have to make sure is inserted before reassembly after washing. Its easy and it doesn't leak once in place BUT if you forget to put that back after cleaning things; juice will leak between the basket and machine while juicing. Its not the end of the world. Mine leaked maybe a teaspoon after a whole juicing cycle when I forgot. Now....I double check that. Noise level is not bad. Its a juicer so its not whisper quiet but its pretty quiet compared to a centrifugal juicer. Its not unbearable to listen to first thing in the morning. Its a whirling humm of the quiet motor and chomping of veggies. Ive grown to love the sound of both these juicers. And then also, a little learning curve. Just took me one cycle to learn. The juice basket, strainer basket and auger all lift off very easily *together* to clean. The first time I went to clean I tried removing the auger while attached to the machine; it was akward, slippery and almost impossible. I was doing it worng. So just remember remove the shoot/cover and then the whole basket, strainer and auger lift off the machine effortlessly as one unit to take to the sink. Its simple and perfect! Keep in mind that when you juice softer fruits the pulp will always be a little wetter (reguarless of the juicer). Okay okay, lastly. The juicer has a generous juice collection pitcher. I just pop a straw in and go! I hope youll give this juicer a try because juicing and clean up is simple making juicing easier to stick to. Pro tip: The #1 rule in juicing is always take apart and wash the juicer part before drinking your juice. It will keep you disciplined and not dealing with dried on pulp. Clean up will be a breeze while the pulp is wet. Everything basically rinses off with warm water. Use the brush to scrub the strainer. If you make this the golden rule of juicing you will fall in love with it! 15+ years and Ive never once drank before cleaning. HAPPY JUICING! Read more
