I purchased this larger camp cot for myself after buying the smaller Supranubis version for my daughters. Having used both, I can confidently say this larger model is a fantastic upgrade for anyone needing more space and superior stability, especially if you are a larger individual or plan to use a full-sized sleeping pad. Key Strengths: Comfort and Durability: I use a large sleeping pad on top of this cot, and the combination is super comfortable. It feels incredibly sturdy and "rock solid," giving me confidence that it is built to last for many seasons. Quality Carrying Bag: Unlike comparable cots I've used, the included carrying bag for this cot is notably solid and feels durable, which is a big plus for packing and transport. Stability: The extra weight and the four sets of legs provide excellent stability that simply can't be beat. For car camping, the slightly heavier construction is absolutely worth it for the peace of mind and comfort. Important Trade-Offs (Comparison to Supranubis): While I am happy with this cot overall, there are a few trade-offs compared to the smaller, 3-legged Supranubis: Setup/Takedown: The four sets of legs on this larger model make the setup and takedown a tad slower than the smaller version, which only has three. Under-Cot Storage: Because of the four legs, the spacing underneath is more limited. I find it difficult to push a large duffel bag beneath the cot compared to the 3-leg design on the Supranubis. Weight & Size: It is a little heavier and takes up more space in the tent than the smaller model. Verdict: If you are strictly car camping and need the extra width, stability, or plan on using a thicker, wider camp pad, this larger cot is an excellent choice and a true upgrade. However, if you don't need the extra space, I would stick with the smaller Supranubis model, as its 3-leg design makes it quicker to handle and more space-efficient. Very comfortable, lots more space. Is a bit heavy but perfect if you don’t have to carry it in a pack. Very easy to assemble. Going to try it on next trip. Update, tried it out on a camp trip and was extremely glad not to have to fret over falling off. I got an inflatable pad and had lots more room for my 6’2” 250lb body. As a 6ft 4inch tall guy, I use this when camping and I have the ability to actually stretch out completely. Most cots are too short by a few inches. This is my go to cot now for car camping, or hikes to campsites that aren't too deep into the woods. I would be a lot of weight to carry backpacking, but maybe without the leg attachments, I would consider it if I was going to be setting up a semi permanent shelter for a week or more. It might be worth the weight in the low to the ground configuration. Also, you can setup your one person solo tent on top and it will fit great. I keep it in my trunk for along with my bug out bag for impromptu day hikes, trips to the park or if I want to nap in a forest or a shady spot. Very sturdy and stable. Read more
