Not As Reliable As They Used to Be
I've used these whitening trays for years, and they used to work consistently and reliability. Over the past couple years, I've gotten more and more bad trays - where the inner piece won't release from the tray itself. I've gotten to the point where, if that happens, I just leave the green tray in place as well. Not very comfortable, but, short of having to go through the hassle of returning the product, then waiting for a new one, it just seems easier. The manufacturer has a lot of QC to work on! But they do whiten nicely. UPDATE: I've now finished the set of 10 trays. Of the 10 sets, only ONE set actually released as they were designed to do. Therefore, in order to have the inner trays remain in their proper place, I had to leave the green trays in the entire time. Not very comfortable. The whitening system still worked, but they need to fix this defect whereby the inner white tray rarely releases from the green. Interestingly, before inserting the trays, I'd test to see if the white tray readily lifts from the green. It does. So I'm at a loss why these no longer perform as they had for years and years. Noticeable difference
Only whitening product ive used that I have seen a noticeable difference. Takes until the next day after treatment for me to really notice a change. Occasionally my teeth will be a little more sensitive for a couple days after using but definitely tolerable. Will repurchase. Read more
Significantly worse for x3 the price of other products
I was very excited for these, as Opalescence is the brand recommended by my dentist, and I’ve had issues with other products and sensitivity. The green trays they come in are functionally useless, they make the inner trays fail to adhere to your teeth. Instead of sucking for two seconds like the instructions state, you’ll be sucking for two minutes. I worked around this, but it is also clear that sucking fails to move the gel strip on the bottom throughout the tray, which causes uneven whitening. I had to discontinue after using three because it was only whitening the tips of my teeth. Read more
These work well but a pain to use
These don’t always come out of the tray like they should. It’s hit or miss. Instructions say to bite down then the strips should adhere to your teeth and you can then remove the tray. However, sometimes the bleach strip doesn’t pull away from the tray. They do work though! Read more
