I have Problems with dry mouth from a cpap machine, tried it the first nite. It works tremendously, had no problems with the cpap dry mouth, I highly recommend. Unfortunately I am a mouth breather and when using my CPAP my mouth severely dries out. My dental hygienist also told me that the dryness overnight from the CPAP with my mouth breathing is very poor for my gum health. Thus I use these Xyimelts and they work very well. I’ve been using this for about a week now, and although I don’t understand how it works, or even why it stays adhered to my teeth, it has worked great for me. I have very dry mouth post radiation treatment. I wake up several times a night with very, very dry mouth that has led to gum recession. I have been using mouth tape, which has worked great. But now that I’m growing my mustache back, the tape no longer adheres. This product has allowed me to sleep through the night, and wake up with no dry mouth. This is a GREAT products for many reasons and for many uses! I am a retired dental hygienist. We have recommended dry-mouth products for years! I rarely had to use them until I developed dry mouth while sleeping. They have a pleasant taste, there is no smell and they do not have sugar! I am SO PLEASED with how well this product works! Rather than using a rinse or toothpaste, these tablets will actually adhere to the cheeks, or the roof of the mouth, so that they are essentially "time released" while you sleep. They dissolve slowly and because they adhere to the tissue you won't swallow or choke on them! NOT TO MENTION that they take care of dry mouth for the entire night! I use 2 each night when I am going to sleep. I have also used them when I have gotten an ulcer in my mouth (canker sore). I just put the adhering part of the tablet (the darker side) against the sore until it is stuck on there. It prevents exposing the sore to air and food - yes, you can eat with them stuck in the mouth! They don't last as long when you're eating, but they protect the sore area! My dentist introduced me to XyliMelts. I find them particularly valuable at night when I use two—one on each side of my mouth affixed to my lower gum. The medications I use make my mouth much drier and it was very difficult for me to sleep that way. XyliMelts have worked for me. They last most of the night and do not upset my stomach. In fact, I see no downside to using them. Most of the ingredients are natural, with the exception of Xylitol, which is used to sweeten them.
