I have been a Sonic Care user for years with no complaints. I just wanted a change. This Oral-B Series 2 is nice and gets the job done. It requires a bit more rinsing (after use) than the Sonic Care, but it's easy peezy. Read more

I ordered the Oral-B iO Electric Toothbrush, Series 2. I do not have another Oral B rechargeable toothbrush to compare this to, so this is coming from a person who has tried different brands and mainly lower quality ones. This particular toothbrush that I ordered is in the black color, and it comes with only one brush attachment and a charger. You set this on the charger and are supposed to turn it 45° easily, then the light will turn on to know it's charging. It's easy to use and there are three settings. The handle is comfortable to hold, and the part where the power button is has some grip on it so it's easy to press in. The brush attachment is actually different than anything I've ever used before since it is round and small. I have a very small mouth, and this actually works and fits better than anything else I have used. One of the things I'm told is that a lot of the areas around the back of my molars are missed by the toothbrush which is nearly impossible to reach with a regular sized brush. Smaller brushes allow me to reach it, however, this design that's round vs oval is fully able to reach spots even the other types could not. In fact, I am reaching areas I have never reached before in my life, and because of that I'm brushing my teeth far longer which is actually the remount of time you are supposed to. Because the brush is so small, it does take me longer, however, it's doing quality work and reaching spots all the other brushes miss. If I was brushing for 2 minutes with a larger brush, that just makes me focus on the same spots far longer than I need to which can cause too much sensitivity. I have very sensitive gums and have issues with them where I am told I'm not even supposed to use electric toothbrushes because they are too harsh and caused receding gums. My variation is "soft" which I can use, but for me to use this multiple times a day I'll need "extra soft". Once I started brushing when the bristles were extra hard with some extra leftover toothpaste, and I had a lot of sensitivity so I make sure it's wet before I add toothpaste. This has features to alert you to know when you are being too rough. The vibration slightly changes along with the light on the power button area blinking red when it wants you to know it's time to chill out. After I do it for a while, I can understand what it's trying to point out where I can just make better decisions with my brushing so I'm not constantly in trouble. Besides being able to reach areas, no other brush has been able to reach, my teeth. Feel cleaner and more polished. I'm also not noticing any sensitivity after using it even when I'm taking much longer than I normally would when I brush my teeth except what I mentioned previously. This definitely cleans better than anything I have tried in my life, actually, but as mentioned earlier, I haven't had very high-end toothbrushes to compare it to. If I was going to use whitening toothpaste, this would be the best brush to apply it with while ensuring I wasn't pressing hard at all. This is an early review, so I can't say much about the long-term durability, but it is an exceptional design to be able to reach areas other brushes can't, and it seems durable enough. Since I plan to have this for a very long time, I'll come back and update as I see fit. Now, as far as value, I am confused since it is listed as $160 less than when I ordered it, and at the time of writing this review that is actually a good value where I wouldn't want to pay more than that for a toothbrush. Overall, I'm actually really happy with this and I'm very impressed since this is something I really have needed, thank you. Read more

I love this Oral-B iO Electric Series 2 Rechargeable Toothbrush. I have used an electric Oral-B for several years and have been using this new model for a few weeks. My teeth always feel clean and my gums are not hurt after use. I have noticed that if I press too hard against my teeth, the toothbrush slows down and a little light comes on, unlike my older model. There are three settings and I have been using the second one which is sufficient for cleaning my teeth. The brush has a slight vibration when turned on, but it is lightweight and not hard to hold onto or maneuver around my teeth. To recharge the brush, I just sit it down onto the charging station. The brush head pushes on and pulls off (no buttons need to be pressed). My only downfall is that my old brush heads will “not” fit this model. The heads are nothing alike. The back of the new head package shows Oral-B iO while the old heads just show Oral-B. The reason I bought an electric toothbrush a few years ago was a recommendation from my dentist. I am glad I followed his recommendation. This brush is round, unlike my manual brush and fits nicely on and around each of my teeth. I feel (and my teeth feel) like they are getting a better cleansing all the way around than they do when I use a straight brush. This brush is gentler on my gums than my older model. As for traveling, I can easily take the brush and charger which do not take up much room. I did try and measure how long the cord was, it is not 100% accurate because the cord was wrapped up for shipping and would not pull out completely straight. I measured from the base of the charging station to the plug, and it was around 32 inches. Overall, I am more than happy with this toothbrush, and it cleans my teeth really well. Read more
I’ve had it for a few months. Out of all the toothbrushes I’ve had in my life, this has been my fav. The battery life is long, the bristles last a long time, and it cleans decently well. Read more
I needed to replace my previous toothbrush and chose this one. It has been a couple of weeks of usage. I am very pleased with it, so far. It is so much quieter than any other electric toothbrush I have ever had. I have only used it on the lowest setting in order to get used to the new toothbrush and because dentists have told me to lighten up on the brushing pressure. The actual brush is larger than previous Oral B electric brushes I have used. I like it better. The only problem is I have replacement brushes for the prior toothbrush that I can not use now. I am still getting used to the toothbrush because everything about it is different from my last one. The switch takes a lighter touch and the brushing cues are less obvious. It feels like a solid appliance, so far. If this is the new brush size, I hope they make it the default size for all their electric toothbrushes so they will be easy to replace. Read more
