Oral B has replaced the Threader Floss with a cheap, flimsy material that constantly breaks between your teeth. The new Oral-B Threader Floss is garbage. It's a waste of your money. It creates a horrible nightmare trying to get the broken floss from between your teeth. The material is flimsy and weak. They had a good thing going and they had to go mess with it. I will never ever buy another floss from the Company. And furthermore, what appeared on the Amazon site that I purchased, was the orginal floss but what I got in the mail delivered to me yesterday, was the new flimsy floss that does not work. I 'm stending back for a full refund. The product is a nightmare. Please do not waste your money and purchase that trash. I would have given the product a "0" star rating if there was such as an option. A rating of "1" is way too high for this product. Will never ever reorder or purchase another Oral-B floss product, unless they bring back the original floss, which I've used for years. So I recently had to have a bridge spanning three teeth, and what you come to understand is that you actually have to floss that middle tooth underneath the covering tooth and along the gum line. There are several types of interdental floss you can use for this. I tried several. By far, this was the easiest one to use. It has a slightly rigid piece of floss that allows you to thread the floss (about 12 inches of floss) under the tooth pretty effectively. And then the flossing is easy. Each interdental floss is individually wrapped because the floss is so long. This floss is costs a little more, but for me, the extra expense was worth it. Read more
I ordered this product in November 2024. What I ordered was the Glide Pro-Health Threader Floss (the image on the right side of the photo). What I received was the image on the left side of the photo - Threader Floss, labeled 'New'. I can't believe this 'new' floss passed quality control because it is the worst dental product I have ever used. The plastic in the ends are so flimsy I have trouble feeding it under my bridge. Tried to use it between my other teeth and it snags and breaks. Why did Oral-B stop making the original Glide threader floss which was a great product? I sent the remaining packets back for a refund. But I can no longer find the original product anywhere, and have yet to find a replacement. Oral-B - please bring back the original floss that is actually usable. This 'new' version is useless. I have noticed that overtime the tips have become thinner and thinner and the floss overall lower and lower quality, but this latest batch had no reinforced tips at all. Just tangled, limpy regular floss. Recently I found a very old package from years ago and boy, they used to be so much better! I also preferred the old bulk packaging versus the wasteful single envelope packets. Great for travel, but not for everyday use. Read more
I thought I was buying oral B GLIDE floss but this is a terrible ‘cushioned’ thread that snags on some of my dental work. Aldo the threader is very weak and bends easily, making it useless. This thread is not only abrasive, but does not do the job very well of removing food trapped between crowns, etc. The GLIDE floss seems difficult to find. I hope Oral B continues to make it because this is not an adequate replacement for what was a great product. Read more
For an older woman that just recently got braces and after removed this has been the only thing I found that works good for flossing teeth daily. Have too much money invested in my teeth to not floss daily and this product works great. Hard to find during Covid shutdown but luckily they are available now. Read more
Very disappointed in this new product. I'm rewriting my first review since Amazon must have pulled it. This is not the same product that I've been using for ~ 15 years. The floss is shorter and harder to hold, it's loose, which will catch on any tight spaces between your teeth and shred, not smooth and wax-like, like the original ones. The threader piece is shorter, thinner and therefore hard to get it to go under your bridge, because it's now flimsy. I returned my order since I will never use these again. Please consider going back to your original product. Read more
This product takes the place of both dental threaders and floss. You don't have to use separate floss threaders along w/your floss making it very convenient. Also great for travel since it is packaged in individual packets. Read more
