I've long looked for just the right lamp for my bedroom, on a particular table (trying to match an inspiration picture), and settled with this one. When I received the lamp (on time), I noticed the lamp itself was offset from the base by about 3 inches. It just looks lopsided, and I couldn't turn it to hide the defect. At first, I thought the lamp was glued to the base, and knew I'd have to return it (after months of searching). I contacted the seller the day it arrived, which was a Friday. By Monday afternoon, I'd finally heard back. They offered a couple of options, and I took one of them. If I could fix the lamp myself, and keep it (and it was in working order), they'd give me a discount. Or, if it was just bad, I could return it or exchange it. I chose to take another look at it. I realized, like most lamps, it was simply screwed into place with a regular lamp kit. I carefully loosened the nut on the bottom, realigned it on the base, and tightened it back up. They gave me the discount. As far as the lamp itself, it's a nice lamp. I love that it's a 3-way bulb, and takes up to 150 watt bulb. It's heavy, and sturdy. The shade is linen, and comes in a separate box (shipped with the lamp so both arrive together). It's a shorter barrel shade (I had slanted shades on lamps - it's a shade, not a roof). The hardware (base, finial, harp, etc) are all brushed nickle, so it works well in a room with silver looking hardware (opposed to brass, etc). It was shipped without any cracks or defects from the shipping itself. It's big on the bottom and the height is correct. It's a very significant looking lamp in a room; not puny at all. I'm giving it 4 stars only because of the mis-manufacturing and me having to fix a new product. Otherwise, I had no complaints about it. By the way, the cord is black, if that matters to some. Delivery and packaging were fine - nothing broken, bent. The lamp itself is quite beautiful, very nice shape, nice shade. HOWEVER, NOT BLUE. It is more of a sea foam, blue-green. Nice color, but not the one I had planned for my living room. Fortunately, I'm still shopping for other accent pieces and can work around it. Bottom line: I'm satisfied with the lamp but would've been happier with a bluer lamp. Read more

I love this lamp! It just arrived, and at $50 I think this is a steal. It has a great shape and a good size -- the overall effect is a big fatter/wider than the picture represents, but I like it that way. Additionally, the color is really more of teal or greenish blue -- the color in the photo is not accurate. Overall, a really fun, modern, and expensive-looking lamp. Read more
