It's seemingly easy to think this can't happen to you since iodized salt is easy to find, but you may have way less iodine than you think, which is even more surprising for me when my sister can't have too much iodine. The first time you take it is a real kick in flavor, but you don't notice the taste as bad after using it more, assuming you shoot it to the back of your tongue (mixing it with a drink is gross and hitting the back of your throat will burn). Within the first few days of taking this, I felt an immediate increase in energy. By the time I had been taking it for a month straight, my hormonal cycle started regulating and symptoms around it lessened dramatically. Less bloating, less cramping, less mental angst and emotional swings. For the first time in years, the length of days in between my period lengthened and my actual period length shortened. I tried increasing from two 3-drop doses a day, and was able to increase to two 8-drop doses a day over the course of three months...slow and steady wins the race as it simultaneously detoxes as it regulates. Because I love a good trial and error, I discontinued taking this for a month to see what would happen. Never again. My period came 4 days early and lasted two days longer than when I was consistently taking this. The taste isn't phenomenal, but it is well worth the benefits. I just try to put the drops as far back on my tongue as possible and quickly chase it with water. You do eventually adjust to the taste, but I wouldn't say I ever arrived to a place where the taste was enjoyable. I wish this had been recommended to me years ago before I literally spent a few thousand dollars on trying to regulate my cycle and deal with the root issues of my symptoms surrounding it in conjunction with clean and intentional eating for female hormonal health.
