It supports both concurrently via PD 100W port connected to power, and PC IN port connected to laptop. Makes the desk setup more minimalistic. Just one connection to the laptop is something I appreciate. I like it! Read more

So far it does everything it’s supposed to do. Fits super snug on the edge of my desk. I knew I was pushing it considering my desk is thicker than the 1.1 inches it said it could fit Read more

I recently got a new laptop. I am establishing a permanent spot for it at an empty desk, where I can keep all the peripherals I might need. I prefer using a full sized keyboard and mouse instead of the chicklet keyboard and touchpad on the laptop. I like a larger screen as well. I got this clip on USB C docking station to expand the ports on my laptop and add these peripherals. This is an 8 in 1 hub with a clamp design that attaches to the edge of a desk. Once clamped on, it feels secure and doesn’t shift during use, so I can plug and unplug peripherals with one hand. I like that it keeps the hub off the main desktop surface, which helps reduce cable clutter. The black finish looks clean and modern and blends well with my setup. It works well with my laptop right out of the box with no software needed. The port selection is very practical. It includes multiple USB ports for accessories, an HDMI port that supports 4K at 60Hz, a USB C power delivery port, Ethernet, and an audio jack. I’ve been using it with my external monitor, keyboard, mouse, and wired internet connection, and everything has worked smoothly. Video output to my monitor is clear and stable, and file transfers to external drives are fast. The housing appears to be made of aluminum alloy and feels solid and well built. The clamp mechanism tightens easily and grips the desk firmly without damaging the surface. Heat hasn’t been an issue during normal use. Setup was simple—just clamp it to the desk and plug in the USB C cable. I took a few pictures to show you what I received: 1- as it arrived, box front; 2- box back; 3- info on side of box; 4- first peek in the box; 5- everything out of the box; 6- docking station w ruler for length; 7- ports on edge one; 8- ports on edge two; 9- back side showing clamp. This is a smart and practical docking solution that adds plenty of connectivity while keeping my small desk neat. The price for this item seems reasonable for its build quality and feature set. It could make a great gift for anyone working from a laptop who needs more ports without desk clutter. Amazon offers their no hassle 30-day return/refund/replace guarantee with this product and it ships fast and free for Prime members. For the sturdy clamp design, fast data speeds, clear 4K output, and everyday convenience, I am giving this docking station five stars. Read more

This clamp-on USB-C docking station is so much better in every way than the USB hub I was using before. My old hub sat on the desk taking up space and moved around while just dangling from its USB-C cable. This one clamps to the edge of my desk and away from my desk space and is barely even noticeable with its super slim profile. I also like that the main USB-C cable that connects to the device isn’t permanently attached, as this lets me use whatever cable length I need for the connection. The cable that comes with it is a bit shorter than I'd like, but it’s a very high quality one that fully supports both the impressive data and charging capacity of this unit. I had no trouble getting a pretty impressive full HD at 120hz video output from its HDMI port using USB-C video out from my older Chromebook. Since it was able to achieve the higher 120hz refresh rate at full HD resolution, it should also be capable of getting 4k at 60hz on a more powerful device. As for the fit, I wasn't sure at first it would have enough grip to securely clamp onto my desk that has a protruding rounded side edge. But once I simply hand tightened the clamp screw, even that small contact was enough to hold it rock solid with absolutely no movement. One thing worth mentioning is that the side of the unit gets slightly warm even when no other devices are connected other than the main USB-C link to my mini PC. But when I measured its power consumption in this idle state, it was only drawing around negligible 1 to 2 watts. This docking station has pretty much all the functions I need and more, with both super fast data and charging ports. And with plug and play, it's very easy to use right away with just about any device. More than anything, I just love how slim and minimalistic it is. I can tuck this away at the edge of my desk where it stays out of my desk space reducing clutter but still easy to access. Read more
