This is my third “Mac Pro tower” style case for the M4 Mac mini. The first is beautifully built and precisely machined—good enough to be a genuine Apple accessory. The second turned out to be a cheap piece of junk and bears no further discussion. This one, in terms of fit and finish, is every bit as nice as the first one. It’s larger and considerably heftier (weighing in at 727g vs 475g) too. Both are nicely padded on the interiors, with attention given to the mini’s rounded corners. Where this one clearly pulls ahead is the latching side panel—which makes for tool free installation of the computer. I got this specifically as a “decorative accessory,” to use the words of another reviewer. The whole “Mac Pro tower” case trend started as a purely decorative accessory and I think ORICO ought to be applauded for making a great one. I do have one minor complaint though: I wish they’d left the ORICO branding off the side. No one wants to see that. I’d been keeping my Mac mini bare for a while, but decided it was time to give it a bit more protection without adding clutter. This simple vertical stand does exactly that, plus I like this form factor much better! The aluminum housing feels sturdy and well-made, and its matte texture blends well with the rest of my Apple setup. The desk footprint is minimal and has actually freed up some space. Installation is quick with no screws or tools, just slide the mini in and snap the top. Rubber feet prevent movement and scratching, and port cutouts are accurately placed so nothing feels off. Accessing the power button is actually easier now that it's upright. I also liked how clean and neutral it looks and fits right in with the rest of my desk setup. It doesn’t have extras like storage bays or extra ports, but if you’re just after a slim, functional case to elevate and protect the Mac mini, this one is priced well and does the job well. Read more
This ORICO MiniPro Aluminum Stand for the Mac mini M4 is a good quality accessory that works as advertised. The aluminum construction is durable and matches the Mac mini perfectly, providing a clean, vertical mount that saves valuable desk space. It feels heavy and secure, and the Mac mini fits snugly inside. My only minor issue is that it maybe has limited functionality—it really only holds the Mac mini vertically. It's not a dock or hub; it's purely a stand. While it's a good size and does its primary job perfectly, given the premium materials, I might have expected a simple USB port expansion. Still, if all you need is a durable, sleek vertical stand, I recommend it. Read more
Whoa, probably the easiest install I've ever had for any computer accessory/case ever and that's saying something since that's the industry I've been in for decades. All it is is a latch up top you push and it pops out the side, and you just slide the mac mini in. Voila, done. Super fast ultra speed install. Aesthetically the case is beautiful. All aluminum designed, nicely milled, no sharp edges. It does put the mac into a little bit of depth so cords can be a little bit more annoying to fit into the case. You do have access to all your USB and other ports. All connectivity is still fine including wireless. My only regret is not getting the version with the m2 slot on the bottom. As this one doesn't even have any clue that the bottom would even do that. This case being reviewed is pretty much just for aesthetics and not functionality at all. For those wanting to make their vertically standing Mac Mini to look good, this is a great product. Nicely made, very well constructed. I suggest getting the version with the M2 port though, even if you don't use it for now. Read more
People get different things for different reasons. Point blank, if you're looking into this to enhance the functionality of your Mac mini, this simply won't do that. The ones with the built-in SSD's might, but this one without an SSD doesn't really add anything in terms of functionality. But I didn't get it for that. I got it for 2 reasons. 1, I love the cool look and the sleek design. Other Mac users can only look on and wonder about what's under the hood. as they've never seen it before. And 2, I got it because when installed, it forms a suit of armor for your Mac mini, making it much safer to take with you on the go. I'm a big fan of that. It's very easy to pop your Mac in here (or take it out). Literally seconds and you're done. And the build quality is excellent; it's actually very well made. If you're looking for something to add functionality of some kind, check out their versions that come with an SSD. If you just like the way it looks or want something to protect your Mini from road-trip damage? This one is awesome. For the money, I really have no complaints. 5 stars. Read more
Well-fitting, massive stand for Mac mini M4/M4 Pro; the alignment for the power button and connectors for external devices is well designed. With the installed anti-slip rubber the Mac mini sits very stable inside the cover. Supposed to help with ventilation, but I am not sure this is a necessary feature for the instrument. Looks like a very small tower, which is kind of fun. Great value. Read more

That said, the build quality is solid, with well-crafted aluminum and a nice CNC finish. If possible, I’d suggest considering the upgraded version that includes SSD expansion and USB connectivity. That model offers much better functionality and overall value, while this basic version feels more like a decorative accessory. Read more
