Didn't wake up this morning to gush about these boots--but here we are.

TL; DR: Awesome, cute, comfy warm boot that comes insole accessories but easily fit PowerStep inserts. The Velcro straps are reasonable. I told my dog, "These are a dream." More details to help make others make their own determination based on their needs: TMI Context: I have high arches, bunions, and weird length feet after having a baby. It's really hard to find shoes that fit. I ordered these via Amazon as a pre-emptive measure in the (likely) case I would have to return them. Not so! I'm keeping these babies. Width: I normally wear a wide shoe but ordered a regular width for these-the toe box was no issue even wearing ski socks. Arch support/Inserts: I swapped out PowerStep inserts (same size as boot) and everything was perfect. The boots come with the company's standard insole and also have some "arch support" boost and two pairs of additional insert-like things that the packaging claims will help with heel slippage/if the shoe is a touch too big. I didn't try these so I can't say how useful they are. It's nice of them to include it, though. How do they look: They look like. a nice, standard boot without a label denoting the maker of the boot (so: neutral trending positive). The tab on the side of the shoe is says "waterproof" and blends into the boot color non-obtrusively. The shoe color is true to the picture. Velcro tabs: I saw reviews complaining about the Velcro tabs. However, I didn't see an issue with the fit of the boot with the tabs. If one has a very narrow ankle, you may run into an issue pulling it tight enough to stay in place. I am concerned how well they will hold up over time as wear junks up the velcro. Fixing velcro is a DYI that even this Pinterest-fail reviewer might be able to manage. I meant it when I said to my dog: These are a dream. I hope above was helpful in considering your next awesome pair of winter boots. Whatever you decide, may your final pair be worth your hard earned cash and fit your feet great. Cheers! Read more

Awesome boots.

Best boots ever! I wear a size 10 and ordered size 10 1/2, for thick socks! Not sure if I really needed 1/2 bigger. Perfect, comfortable, warm, no back pain and walking is no problem! Husband buys all the Orthofeet because he has wide feet and all the shoes he buys fit perfectly. Love the Velcro straps! Read more

Extra support inserts included for customizing!

I have plantar fasciitis and a wide foot. I got these boots in an 8.5 wide to have room for a thick sock. They are waterproof and I like the adjustable Velcro straps. They are very comfortable and come with several differet support inserts you can put inside to costomize a good fit. I love that! They are very well made and so comfortable. I highly recommend them! Wide Sizes Assume You Have Big Ankles

I am almost always a solid size 8, and I would say these are true to size. I originally wanted to be able to wear my thicker wool socks, and so I ordered these Florence2 boots in 8 wide. As you can see in the photo, the top strap was so darn long I couldn’t even Velcro it. After pulling the strap tight on my ankle, there was no opposing Velcro to stick to, and the strap ended up being about two inches too long! Thinking it was a factory goof, I ordered another pair and same problem. Wide feet do not necessarily mean wide ankles. BTW, I have “normal” ankles. So, back to the drawing board. I ordered my usual size 8 medium width, and although I would have loved that little extra bit of foot width, the ankles now Velcro properly. These boots are comfy, supportive, warm and waterproof. I added the little arch support, but I didn’t need any extra insoles, because I ended up with a regular width after all. I have occasional plantar fasciitis, so I appreciate shoes that have good support and protect my feet. I would have given these 5 stars, but took off one star because of the Velcro fiasco. Edit after wearing these a lot: After a one week visit to Montana with hiking, rain, and snow, I am upgrading my four star review to five stars. These boots were insanely warm, comfy, and supportive. Despite bringing a backup pair of shoes “just in case”, I didn’t need or want to wear anything else. Also, the Velcro straps were a big plus in the wet slushy weather, as they stayed dry and securely fastened unlike other people’s boots who had wet soggy shoelaces. My opinion on the length of the Velcro straps hasn’t changed, but the overall quality and comfort of these boots deserve an upgrade from four to five stars. Read more

Comfortable and warm

I was looking for something to keep my feet warm while on walks with my dogs, but also needs to support my feet. These boots are amazing. I have metatarsalgia and wide feet so I can't just throw on any pair a shoes and just go. I also live in WI and it get cold out and my feet get cold very easily. The dogs don't care about the cold so unless it's below zero we're walking. These keep my feet nice and toasty with absolutely no wind getting through them. They are very roomy, I bought a size 9W based off of the reviews and usually wear a 8-8 1/2 W. I probably could have purchased an 8 1/2W and been fine. I added one of the extra inserts that's included in the box which helped with the extra room in the shoe and can wear two pairs of socks and the boots are perfect. My feet are able to move around just enough in the shoe, there is no pinching, and the stay warm. I haven't gotten them wet yet so I can't say much about that at this time. Read more
