For the ultra light crowd I know unnecessarily large. Not so fast. Taking my dog and wanted to es Ute out f she got tired I have room and pack with structure to carry her needs as well. Couldn’t get it all in a 65L. This pack fits great is very adjustable and I know can support anything that comes at us! Read more

No body makes a pack like osprey. Everyone else was sold out. Read more
Used for backpacking in the Wyoming back country. Able to easily fit enough for 5 day trip. Comfortable straps, easy to adjust and rain cover works well. Read more
The good stuff: -Holds tons of gear, it’s a big pack -Has a lot of adjustments so it can be tailored to your body well and will hold your gear securely even if it’s not full. -The top that turns into a day pack is super handy even after I was sure I’d never actually use it. Turns out I use it quite a bit. -Built with quality material and workmanship. I bet this will last longer than any other pack I’ve had. Stitching was done well. -Easy to adjust the shoulder and belt to offset the weight and not get sore without taking it off your back. -Room for extras if you think you can haul the weight. I could put way more in it than I could carry very far at all. The bad stuff: -can be a little confusing at first, it has straps all over the place. Took a little messing around to figure out what to put where. Once you get it though it’s not an issue. - the weight. This thing is like 6 lbs empty. Not for the ultralight guys or gals for sure. - sometimes I have to check a few places before I find where I stuffed something. Probably not an issue after a few more trips I would think. - it’s not cheap at all, but that said it is worth the cost to me. It’s almost like it’s better than I really need if that’s possible. Overall, I think it’s a great pack now that I’m getting used to it. Other than the price and weight of this pack I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a large pack. I’m not crazy hardcore when it comes to backpacking so it’s really more than I probably need but I don’t see myself needing to buy another pack for a long time if at all for longer trips. I would be confident this can hold all I need for a week of meals are well thought out. The smaller liter sized one is probably good enough for most people. Read more
I got this backpack to take on philmont scout crew, and was looking for something with a large capacity that could still fit my slim frame (5’9” 115 lbs). I also have a very small waist (27”) and found this to be the first backpack that properly fit me (albeit almost minimum size, but a fantastic fit nonetheless). The huge size made it very easy to pack quickly and the strong belt definitely helped make the load feel lighter. Not to mention the daypack topper being a very confining addition. The only downside I can think of is the positioning of the water bladder pouch being slightly hard to access when the bag is full. I can see this being my go to bag for many more trips! Read more
