A great bad for a day’s ride or hike. Impressed how much I could stuff into it. Some people don’t like the lack of additional pockets for origination but it is a day pack how much are you organizing. It is better the the Camelbak MULE, I hate the straps on the new MULE. Read more

This backpack has everything I want - large space, rain cover, dual belt pockets and hydration system. It is high quality and I expect the backpack to last for a long time. The one star removed is for the side water bottle holders, which are easy to retrieve the bottles due to the angled front openings, however, since it's too shallow, the water bottle is easy to fall out especially when lowering the head and back to tie shoe laces. I'd expect the holder is more elastic and can be tightened so the bottle will not fall out that easily. In general, this is a good product and I recommend it to everyone. Read more

Best features: slim profile, excellent hip straps, comfortable shoulder straps, and just enough frame on the back without feeling stiff. It carries a lot of stuff without feeling bulky or cumbersome. Im a backpack snob, and this is a fantastic backpack. I needed a “do everything” pack and it fits the bill perfectly. I travel a lot for work, so I needed something that could go from a plane to an industrial jobsite and be worn for hours without getting uncomfortable. Aside from work, I wanted a daypack for long hikes in the mountains or adventures seaside. My bag goes with me everywhere. Osprey needs to market their mountain biking bags as multi purpose, this is my second and I love them. Read more

Very comfortable bag to use when road biking and going fast. I appreciate the easy to use zippers and deep compartments. No issues with sweat but have not used it in summer yet. Also looks slick Read more

Great mountain bike pack from a company with a proven track record of making specific use packs. I needed something a little larger than what the Raptor line offered for around-the-town use as well. My 20L model has plenty of storage space and the Lidlock is on point. My only complaint centers on the hip belt. The zippered compartments open easy enough. However, because of the design/angle, it's nearly impossible to close the zippers with one hand. I hope that the engineers revisit this design flaw and fix it for next gen packs. Read more

I got the escapist 30 back in 2012. All bc I got stuck outside Olympia due to an avalanche over the road. 11 hours. 17 degrees. Never again. This is my bug out bag. It's been with me all over the country and then some. First aid kit, hands warmers, tactical rope and hooks, to rain suit, compass and mirror on strap pockets. I can't say enough about this bag. I got it for $65 on some UK site back then. I didn't want the blue, they were the only place that has the dark red it's like burgundy. It's beautiful and I can see it easily when I set it down on the outdoors. The yellow rain jacket that's built in is excellent. The pocket for the camel pack is still perfect. The zippers never stick, the flaps are still intact. I'm not gentle, and neither is the dog when she uses as a pillow. She's a buck twenty five give or take ten during summer and winter. The snaps still work. However I may have cracked the built in whistle. I got pepper spray tear gas hooked on the strap loop. And the 2A... So, whistle not needed. But osprey fixes your bags for free, for life. I just didn't want to send it in. If they are ever at an REI in town, maybe I'll go by, but again, it's just the whistle and it's been 13 years. Get this bag. You'll see. Happy living! Read more
