I needed a day pack with a padded hip belt that was small enough to pack in my small carry on bag. This pack fit in my bag; I didn’t need to try to fold it and it wasn’t overly heavy. I comfortably carried 4 liters of water for a desert hike. The hip belt was comfortable and the shoulder straps were adjustable.. I generally don’t like huge hip pockets but I was able to carry some small snacks in them. The side pockets were good for a 14-oz water bottle but maybe on the shallow side for a larger water bottle. There was an appropriate amount of room inside for snacks, first aid kit, a rain coat, etc. I was glad I spent the money as this appears to be a well-made, durable pack. Read more

This is my THIRD one of these backpacks! I wear them out. They are so practical and perfect for my line of work, and for day hiking. Just enough pockets and in the right places. Also love the way the backpack straps on, so you are not carrying all the weight on your shoulders. I keep ordering the same style, because I am used to using this one. Only replace them once they are filthy and scraped up/worn out from wear and tear. I also like the color choices they come up with. So no two of mine are the same color. This backpack is awesome! It's super comfortable for day hikes. I did a 20km trek and barely felt it on my back. It's also surprisingly spacious; I packed everything for a 5-day beach trip with no problem. The size is good for me (I'm 5'1"), and it should be even better if you're taller. Perfectly adjustable, and fits really snugly. Fantastic purchase (and great color). Good size for keeping an extra few sets of clothes in. The back isn’t super breathable. My only regret is not getting the one with the larger hip (?) pockets. These ones are just slightly too small to put my phone (iPhone 15) in, which is a little irritating, but not the end of the world :) Read more
