NOTE: The top took a little bit of coaxing to attach to the upright so the holes would line up for the screw but it wasn't hard. In fact, I pushed it once and it popped right on. I've wanted an Ott light for ages and now I have one and I love it. All the different settings are great and the light is bright and clear. I use the daylight setting. It adjusts nicely and holds its position, unlike the old drafting table clamp lights. It's unobtrusive/out of the way, sturdier, and more attractive than the old style as well. I love that it doesn't put out all the heat a regular light does since I do use it on my drafting table and prefer that my face and head not be roasted while I am trying to work. Read more

Just moved my office into my home and the overhead lighting was horrible for work so I added this light above my monitors. It's perfect for my work desk! Bright, adjustable and seems very well built. I attached it to my standing desk, so it moves up when it's time for me to stand up. I am very happy with this light. It replaces an older floor lamp from Ott-Light, which had this monstrous heavy foot. This one fits right on the back of my desk and "overlooks" my work surface. Works wonderful and was very easy to assemble. I am not sure why there were screws included that nobody needed. I love the option for warm, cold, daylight lights. Read more

I was looking for a stand up desk lamp for quite a while but the choices just weren't there. I gave up looking for that feature and found this great lite and had a base made for it. It feels sturdy yet it is very agile and can move the head exactly where I want it. I use it in my painting and sewing studio. I like the dimmable features and the different modes of light. I never thought I would use the different modes but depending on the time of day I can find the right way to lite what I'm doing. I will be ordering another one. Read more

I purchased this light for my wife's use in crafting. She needed a wide dispersion light for her crafting table. It is perfect! It seems to be very sturdy and easy yo adjust. Terrible. I’ve always trusted OTT-Lite for task lighting. No longer. I purchased TWO of these lamps to replace older lamps in my craft room. The lamp can’t be assembled. The design calls for a set screw to hold the light onto the lamp body. The screw hole is drilled in the wrong place. I tried both of the lamps I bought and both can’t be assembled. This leaves me without task lighting for a project I need to complete TODAY. But instead I have to go out to ship these back and shop for new lamps. Again. After doing major research on real sunlight lamps, and going back and forth trying to decide which features I really need, I am so happy I settled on this light! Any reviews I read about it were all glowing, and now I’ll add mine to them! This is one powerful light. Even at the lowest setting, on the daylight mode, it is bright. Crank it up to the highest setting and it’s almost blinding. The other two color settings are nice too but I won’t have use for them since I bought this specifically for the natural sunlight mode to paint by. I love the sleek design. It takes up no space at all, requires the slightest touch to move it into whatever position you need it. The touchpad on the front requires just the merest touch to turn it on. If you are at all hesitant about purchasing this light, go for it. You won’t be disappointed! Read more
