This has to be the easiest fixture installation I have done so far on the exterior of my house. I recently replaced the garage side lights and the hanging pendants on my front porch from rusted, 20 -year old brass lights to all black square replacements to blend better with my greige paint when I repainted the house. However, the door to the side of my garage still had a weak 25-year old, white floodlight with one working bulb and I knew it was time to switch it out for something that matched the house. This fixture is perfect for a single door light replacement and is was simple to install with the existing junction box. I'm a DIY person, and for me to say it was simple, means it literally was a swap out for me! The metal casing is very well made and feels substantial in weight and design. The glass is clear for this fixture---which is great for me because I am thinking of putting a camera bulb into this standard socket so that I can monitor this door more easily. The clear glass is a bonus for this door because it allows for more light to keep this pathway lit when I roll out my cans on garbage night. This product is a great addition to my house lighting upgrades and I am very satisfied that it will last a long time based on the design and quality. Beautiful front or back porch lamp! My new home I purchased, needs a bit of updating, especially on the lighting fixtures. Although the style currently there is close to this, it is worn out from years of use and weather. I actually like the style, so I wanted to get something new that was the same or very similar. This light checks the boxes! Very similar style. Made from metal and glass, so it should hold up for a long time. And finally, easy to install! I will get this one installed. This is a nice quality lantern light that should handle extended use. The wiring is pretty standard and easy to install. Three metal is nice and thick and the glass looks solid. I sure wished it included a light bulb from the product image. Either way for the design and quality, it’s a good value. Read more
