I’m married to a chronic loud snorer so I’ve tried lots of earplugs. These work the best in drowning out the noise. But the I’m not sure how much noise cancellation they have, seems like it’s more the white noise that blocks out the snoring. On the downside, they irritate my ears (side sleeper), and the app is annoying. For example, I attempted to increase the volume at 2AM (again married to a snorer) and the app didn’t recognize that the ear plugs were connected and working. It will ask me to put them back in the case and reconnect. That’s too much to ask at 2AM. It also does this when my alarm goes off, so no snoozing for me. Still giving 5 starts for drowning out the chronic snorer. Read more

The case is great for traveling. The earbuds fit well in the case along with the charging cord. It seems to be of good quality and well made; however, I just used it once so the durability is unknown at this time. The earbuds are great! I have been looking for years for earbuds that don’t hurt - these are great. The only thing I would say is that it is too sensitive to sleep. If you lay still for a peeps of time, it assumes you are asleep and turns on the white noise. That is annoying as I feel like I need to get to my phone to restart the book I listen to to go to sleep. A longer time or less sensitive response to sleep would be nice. Other than that, I love the earbuds. Read more

If you have a spouse that snores like a chainsaw, if your neighbors have barking dogs or, you occasionally sleep at hotels and are awakened by noisy people in the next room, OSLO SLEEPBUDS will give you peace and quiet. These do an outstanding job at blocking noise. They are very comfortable when I sleep on my side. I have severe tinnitus and it’s very difficult to fall asleep at night because of the loud, high pitched and very annoying “noise” I experience from the tinnitus. I had benefited from Bluetooth sleep masks and using pleasant sounds through an app called “My Noises” but when sleeping in my side, the relatively large speakers inside the sleep masks hurt my ears. The Oslos are VERY COMFORTABLE. In 2018 I bought a pair of Bose Sleepbuds (they are still working well as I write this 2-2026 but they DID NOT work as a Bluetooth device allowing me to listen to music or my app “My Noises.” The Bose only allow a user to listen to “built in sounds” such as “pink” noise and such. Along comes OZLO and they look JUST LiKE my Bose Sleepbuds but these DO WORK with and through Bluetooth. As I write this review, 5 weeks after I started using them, I am TOTALLY pleased with the Oslo’s. I listen to wonder sounds I find on YouTube, through sound masking my app and I easily get 8 hours of sleep at night with the Oslo’s often holding their charge for 9 hours and longer. I’m able to sleep on either side without discomfort as I had with sleep masks and I’m absolutely happy with the Ozlos. I’m confident they will last as long as my Bose sleepbuds which are now 8 years old and still working. (Edit… They also block out loud noises! Last night, we had a violent thunderstorm come through at 3 A.M. and the thunder woke up my wife, our dogs started barking but I slept through it all, achieving a 98 Sleep Score according to my Apple Watch.) Truly disappointed. I have tried nearly every sleep earbud on the market and have worked my way up the cost ladder. I hoped the Oslo Sleep Buds would reflect their premium price. At over three hundred dollars and nearly four hundred with tax these are extremely expensive. I decided to give them a try because one of my favorite authors began promoting them. I trust her deeply on many things related to nutrition and overall wellbeing so that endorsement carried real weight for me. I was also influenced by the fact that the product is reportedly supported and developed by former Bose staff which suggested a high level of engineering and usability. Unfortunately the product did not meet expectations. The entire setup process is clunky and frustrating. You must open the case and leave the earbuds inside while connecting them to the app. This process often does not work well and takes time. Many times the case needs to be reset multiple times before the earbuds will connect at all. Only once the earbuds are fully connected to the app can you place them in your ears. You cannot set alarms or adjust any settings unless they are connected first and then worn. There are no controls on the earbuds themselves which makes everyday use frustrating. Despite the claims there is essentially no noise canceling. Any sound reduction comes only from the physical design and even that is no better than a basic Loop style earplug. The sound barrier is unimpressive and certainly not justified at this price point. Overall the system feels poorly designed and unnecessarily complicated. Given the cost the reputation behind it and the trusted recommendation this was especially disappointing. I will be returning them. If you are interested at all make sure you take advantage of their rental option before committing to a full purchase. And make sure you are ready for an almost weekly update to the software that takes approximately 30 minutes because it must update all three pieces, the case, the app, and the earbuds. Read more
