Great little dock that works as advertised!
First of all if you're going to connect this to a laptop, and make full use of the docks capabilities, make sure your laptop is compatible and supports charging and HDMI output through the USB C port. Also if your current charger isn't a USB C charger you will need to purchase one separately. Be sure and read the specs for your charger and make sure the one you get can provide enough power to charge your laptop. Do that and this dock will also charge your laptop as well. I did all that and it works flawlessly. It charges my laptop, connects my external monitor via HDMI, and provides multiple ports for my USB devices and SD cards. It's very compact and very stabile due to the rubber pads on the bottom. Not only that it's built like a tank! Aluminum construction makes it near indestructible. It's a great value for the money.
