Good nose trimmer. Must clean and lubricate the blade assembly periodically to ensure long life. I use a soft makeup brush to remove hair clippings from the blade itself and a Q-tip with electric razor lubricant to lubricate the blade housing. Must be very careful with the cutting blade since it will be damaged very easily if dropped or mishandled since the blade material is so thin. New blades can be purchased independently if needed. I had bought the same model more than a decade ago, but it had suddenly bit the dust, stopped working. So, I thought another one of the same model would be great. Right? Wrong! The new one was slightly redesigned, small difference in shape.... in the end, it simply would not cut any nose hairs or ear hairs. Totally worthless. Because the one I bought years ago worked great, I didn't keep the box or package it came in, so I (presume that I) can't return it or get my money back. So, I dropped it off at an electronics recycle center. Read more

I have purchased several ER340's, and the opening to catch the nose hairs or the whiskers every so often is too large. Other ER340's worked perfectly. This most recent purchase does not. Read more

Had a much earlier version of the same model. Needed to replace as motor was starting to go. Shaved under lip with new one. Did not feel close enough. Took blade head out of old and new one out of new trimmer. The new blade head had a plastic post sticking out above the blade. This was the reason for rnot close trim. Put the old blade head)to the new trimmer. Went over the same under lip with much better results. Keeping new body with old blade head, otherwise it does not trim close enough. Read more
