I have used this product (wax) for years and only reordered because I finally ran out. I have not used this particular kit yet, but assume it will work as effectively as the one I have been using that was the same brand. I do see a caution with this one not to use it if using Retinol, Accutane, Glycolic or Alpha Hydroxy Acids. (I don't think those existed when I began using it.) I think I even had to order it from Canada. It is to be heated on an electric burner, not gas. It is a flammable product, so take care when heating it. Read more

I want to say this is a good buy for people interested in using hot wax for the first time but it's frustrating to use. Keeping the wax at the right temp to use is near impossible, it's either too hot and you have to wait for it to cool or it's cooling down too much while you're trying to use it. I've used the product twice and each time I had to have my stove on and ready to reheat the wax several times while trying to remove hair. The temp fluctuations are harder to manage when you're new to hot wax and havent quite figured out the right technique. Buying this product has just convinced me that I want a wax warmer and beads. I have been using this product for 15 years. It has saved me so much money! You have to be able to pull off your own wax. My teenage daughters were not able to do this. It hurts. I can do it successfully. Although, I have not figured out how to not make a wax mess. I do have tips to make it less messy. It is best if you place a rag under the small pan of wax when placing it on a surface. Don't heat it up too hot. It is best when heated slowly on low-medium. This creates a thicker wax and you can pull it off your face, easier. Also, place a towel over your clothing and clip it as if you were getting your hair done. If wax drips on you, during application, it won't ruin your clothes. I have found this out the hard way. I hope they make it forever. The end result is soft skin. I would recommend this product.
