Bought this to replace old (exact same one) worn out robe. The fit is just right. Love the pockets and zipper. Pockets are big enough to hold a 8" tablet or e-reader. Zipper is covered by cloth so it doesn't brush up against your skin which is great in the winter. The material is soft and warm, feels like slipping into a warm bath. Even after many washes it doesn't pill or leave lint on other wash items. The only difference between this one and my old one is the color. This time I chose the purple and it looks amazing. My aunt loves these robes, because she likes anything with a buffalo plaid pattern. She likes her robes to be loose and comfortable, so she prefers the larger sizing. The fabric is super soft and the pockets nice and large. Where this robe fails was the fabric after one washing, even though we followed the laundering instructions. The robes came out of the washer with tons of fuzz balls caused by pilling. And the robes shed “fuzzballs” on the entire load of wash. We had to rewash the clothes minus the bathrobes. We tried to remove the pilling from one robe, but several “fuzzballs” would not come off. We couldn’t find Buffalo plaid robes locally, so we decided to exchange the robes for new ones. Amazon made this very easy to do. So far the replacement robes have laundered fine without pilling. We changed the way we laundered our robes. Washing suggestions: wash separately (by itself) from other clothing in cold water. Use a pod or laundry soap that does not contain any fabric softener. (Softeners may cause pilling). Dry on the lowest heat setting. FYI-- Inexpensive Kirkland pods from Costco works well when laundering these robes or blankets made of a similar fabric. Read more

On the plus side, this robe is warm and soft as a bunny. I like that it zips up (no dangling ends when it's open, stays closed when it's closed). It fits true to size, and the color is lovely. It's super bulky and heavier than I expected. But the big disappointment is the fabric. After wearing the robe a couple of times, I noticed a hole in the fabric. I can't imagine the robe will survive more than one or two rounds in the washer. Read more
