These training pants are perfect for advanced potty training. They don't contain a plastic layer so they're not waterproof, but they are nice and padded so they can hold small accidents without leaking. We used them a lot during the first few weeks after potty training, when my daughter would sometimes forget to go to the potty on time. She'd go just a little in her underwear, but be able to stop and run to the potty. This underwear absorbs small leaks like that, and it decreases my laundry load because I only have to change her underwear, but not her pants. They also seem really comfy. My daughter loves them and although she is completely potty trained now, she still wears them to daycare most days for a little extra "accident insurance". As far as sizing is concerned, I would say that these run pretty true to size. I bought a size 3T for my 3-year old (who is on the smaller side), and they fit her well, with some room to grow. The quality is great too, I've washed them a lot over the past few months, but so far, they've held up well. We did receive different prints than the ones shown in the picture. I was prepared for that since the colors are described as "assorted" in the product description, but I really wish there was a way to choose a certain color - I would order a second set but don't want to risk getting the same ones.
