I had been having some strange behavior in my PC after upgrading to an z890 chip set from a z390. Realized I was still using a pcie 4.0 max riser, which was causing issues with my system stability, display, power, and many other things. Was a little skeptical that this was legitimately pcie 5.0, but it absolutely is - I have it set to use only pcie5.0 in BIOS and it works perfectly. Great for vertical mount GPU. I don't use the screws to anchor it to the floor of my case, but the holes do appear to line up at least on a Corsair 5000D. Here's my 3090FE / Core Ultra 7 build using this riser for my GPU. works. i need this as an extension cord so i could access a second USB-c port on my laptop while my mini docking station was plugged in. The mini docking station blocked the port. plugged the mini-dock into the cable a little while ago and seems to work fine and i can now use the second port. Read more

Could not get a 5080 GPU to work with the 4.0 riser included with a HYTE case. This riser solved my compatibility issues. Does not match the attachment points on the bottom of the case, so I left it loose and rely on the back panel screws to keep the GPU from moving. Read more
