Its a project but worth it in my opinion.
Regarding the peacoblue 5 tier Business Card Holder Multiple Slots for Desk, Acrylic Card Display Stand, there are some very nice things about this unit and a couple of issues as I see it, not that they are deal breakers by any means but do warrant a bit of awareness if you are considering ordering this unit. I ordered and received the model with the black base and it was priced at apx. 22 bucks at the time of order. The acrylic pieces being very high quality, thick and attractive, under normal circumstances, I would be giving this a five-star review for sure. It is very sturdy and it looks quite nice. There are a couple of issues as I see it - Here are the details. Construction is a bit tedious. There are 13 flat acrylic pieces included to put this together. While it is excellent that the acrylic is very well manufactured and beautiful and pristine, this is in part because it is very well protected by a film which the buyer is responsible to remove, from both sides of each of the 13 pieces. This is an opaque, adhered film on each piece with nothing to grab on to in order to start peeling it off and its a bit of a challenge. This took a fair amount of time, time that I was not anticipating. I did not have a tool to get the edges started that would not have risked scratching the acrylic, so I used the tips of my fingers which wasn't great and certainly wasn't efficient. The front and back of each slot leave a slice of room between them where a card can, and does, slip through. There IS a remedy, don't put so many cards in that it is forced to put cards so close to the edge that it can slip through. But nonetheless, it is not perfect, in my opinion, that one has to be a bit careful to not let the first or last card(s) of the section slip through the cracks each time they are stocking it. I think this might have been avoided with a more thoughtful design. Otherwise, this business card holder is a great size with 5 generous tiers and it is designed to hold up to 300 business cards in all (50-70 cards per tier). It does not take up much space on the desk and it really does look very professional and unique. If you need multiple slots like this, it is quite an attractive and functional way to display them in my opinion. Again, regarding aesthetics, I wasn't too sure I was going to like the thick white rubber bands used to hold the pieces firm against the side edges. When I was putting this unit together it seemed a little wonky (and time consuming - 20 bands in all, each one stretched and fitted to rest flush against the sides). But I got over it once I saw how nice the completed unit looks. So all in all, I think this is high quality card holder, manufactured with very nice and thick acrylic which has great clarity, is very sturdy, and it is classy looking to boot. I can think of several uses for this unit besides cards for both home and office; we'll see if that pesky space where a card "may" slip through bothers me over time. Read more
