Pelican Marine Series - AirPods Pro 3 Case with Carabiner Wireless Charging Compatible MIL-Grade Protection IP68 Waterproof Heavy

This Airpods Pro 3 case is great. It has everything I wanted and more. However, it has one issue that makes it impossible to use. Pros: The case is very sturdy, well-made, and snaps closed with a satisfying click. It does protect the Airpods case completely against water, dust, and anything else. It is a bit big, but I don't mind that at all. The Con: Whoever designed this thing was probably drunk or failed all their classes in school. It has two hinges that are protruding from the back (check the attached images). These hinges makes it impossible to use in any way. If you put it in your pocket, they poke you, if you place it on a desk, they scratcht it, if you try to charge it wirelessly, they make it impossible. They are the worst possible design for this case. If they fix the hinges (I mean completely destroy them and do something else), this would've been a 5 star review. Do not buy this. Read more

Not even close to previous pelican items bought.poor quality, does not charge unless is with cable , hook always comes off the key chain. This is the first time I had bad experience with Pelican . It's ok - about the only decent water resistant case out there. I'm waiting on the new catalyst for the airpods pro 3 honestly. But the air pods just sit in there. its not very "secure". Every time you open the lid they slide up a bit. It's just weird. Good coverage and impact resistance, waterproof... Oh yeah the "wireless charging compatible" is true I guess, it chirps when put on a wireless charge, but the back does not lay flat due to the hinges and it isn't magnetic. And the carabiner holder is a piece of plastic molded into the whole case. Predict it to be the only thing that breaks. Airball from pelican for sure. Catalyst, please hurry up with it. Read more

I purchased this case and I was unsure of how large it would be, and it is big, best place to carry it is in a cargo pants pocket or a bag. Other than the size this is an excellent case, it's well engineered, and durable. Other reviewers had complaints about the security of the AirPods because when you open the case the bottom half of the AirPods case slides up slightly, allowing access to the headphones, as well as allowing you to view the light on the front of the AirPods charging case. This isn't a design flaw in my opinion but is rather ingenious, because this design allows both the charging case hinge, and the protective case hinge to fully open, for unrestricted access to the headphones. It is for all intents and purposes fully dust proof and waterproof, if the latch is closed then absolutely nothing is getting into your case, keeping your headphones perfectly clean and dry. I would recommend this case to anyone who wants a fully protective case, that doesn't mind added bulk for said protection. Read more
