Best Medicine for Acid Reflux — Especially During Pregnancy! When my wife was pregnant, she suffered from severe acid reflux (pain level 10/10). It was so bad that she couldn’t function — it started as back pain that moved to her chest and stomach until she eventually threw up everything she ate. Before discovering Pepcid, she tried Maalox (slow relief) and Tums (which didn’t help and sometimes made it worse). Her OB then recommended Pepcid, assuring us it’s safe for pregnant women and available over the counter. We bought it right away — and it truly worked wonders! According to the label, you can take up to 2 tablets in 24 hours. Whenever the acid reflux flares up, she takes Pepcid and feels relief almost immediately. It tastes mild (almost like candy) and is easy to chew or swallow. The episodes of vomiting and discomfort were greatly reduced — if not completely gone. Total lifesaver for anyone struggling with acid reflux, especially expectant moms! Read more
