These were PERFECT during my period. I saw other reviews saying the material is uncomfortable but I honestly thought it was comfortable. I wore them on day 2 my period for about 1.5 hours in the pool and they passed the test! I wore them under my usual one piece swimsuit and they are too big to hide under a swimsuit but considering I am swimming during my period and there isn’t really any other option it didn’t matter to me that a little bit of the black bottoms showed. I bought these on sale and had the foresight to buy both mediums and larges. Normally, i wear medium in most things. The medium that came out of the package looked like an extra small. My daughter uses these at home and when we go tubing on the river when she’s having her period. They work great. Be aware, though, that the crotch is noticeably padded with the absorbent material. It looks a little bulky there, but it’s not an issue for her because my daughter always chooses to wear swim shorts over her bathing suit bottoms in public. If you don’t, then just know you’ll probably have a little bulge down there. The material is good quality, a nice dark black color, and we’re pleased with the product. I returned the item and got an email to return the item by a new date when the item was returned right away because the fit is horrible and the quality is just not there.
