I’m very happy with this rechargeable tabletop lighter. The design is sleek and modern — it looks more like a decorative accessory than a typical lighter, which makes it perfect to leave out on a coffee table or shelf. Guests always comment on it, so it definitely doubles as a conversation piece. It does require kerosene, which is important to know, but filling it is straightforward and it burns cleanly with a strong, steady flame. Once fueled and charged, it works reliably every time. I primarily use it for lighting candles (including deep jar candles), and it performs much better than standard disposable lighters. The rechargeable feature is also a big plus — no constant buying of cheap lighters. It feels sturdy, well-made, and designed to last. Overall, this is both practical and stylish. If you’re looking for something functional that also adds a little visual interest to your space, this is a great choice. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I bought 1 to test it and then bought 4 more. They all worked perfectly. I love burning incense, so I have one next to each burner. Fun to use and it looks like magic. I read some reviews of people saying it did not light every time. The only time it hasn’t lit for me is if you don’t put it back properly but even if it doesn’t light the first time, so what, put it back and pull it out again, super simple! Very well-made, nice quality, and very attractive! Seems to hold quite a bit of lighter fluid, so I’m hoping I won’t have to refill it often. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT! UPDATE: I’ve seen other people complaining about this and Hopefully the manufacturer will see this and fire whoever designed it. The screw on the bottom, where you put the Lighter flood, is almost impossible to open. Coins don’t work, screwdrivers don’t work, nothing works. It has almost no edge. Every time I force it to open, I am slowly tearing more of the edge off; so, eventually there will be no edge at all. Hopefully this is something they change or provide a tool! Grrrrr! Besides that it’s still great! 💁🏻♂️ Read more

Worked ok until it lost its first battery charge. It will not take a charge now at all. Lasted about as long as a small box of matches. Read more

Permanent matches have been around for decades, and they all have one thing in common: You strike them on something to ignite them, just like an ordinary lighter. This one is unique. It uses a plasma arc to ignite the flame. The only other one I could find that works like that is identical, but it comes with a built-in ashtray. I have that one, and it's what prompted me to order this. It uses ordinary lighter fluid, and is filled by removing the brass screw from the bottom, letting the naphtha flow in, and then replacing the screw. It recharges via the included micro-usb cable, so there are no batteries to change. it's very stylish, and reliable. It lights virtually every time. You have to trim the wick occasionally, and the wick is replaceable with a zippo-style wick. It's more expensive than the others, but it's also uniquely different. It gets a lot of attention from my friends, and I've already bought one as a gift. Both the standalone lighter and the one with the ashtray come in a sturdy giftable box. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This is one of the coolest things I've bought on Amazon. I held off buying for a bit because of some negative reviews and people apparently not understanding how to use it due to the instructions being in Chinese. The instructions are right here on the product page ... in English. Anyway, I finally decided to get it and have no regrets. It's very simple to figure out. All you have to do is unscrew the little brass button on the bottom of the base, fill the hole with flammable liquid (I used kerosene for lamps), screw the button back onto the base, and you're in business. Make sure to use a funnel, because the hole is very small and you will spill flammable liquid all over your countertop... like I did :) It came charged so I didn't have to plug it in. The way it works is the wick is housed inside the stem (the top part that you pull out). It gets saturated by the flammable liquid while sitting in the base. When you pull up the stem (where the saturated wick is housed), it passes through the arc and ignites ... every time. It's really cool. I've used this innumerable times to light incense, and sometimes I pull up the stem and watch it ignite just for fun. It has an on/off switch so make sure it's on before you try to pull up the stem to ignite the wick it or it won't work. After so many uses, the wick gets too short and has to be trimmed, so then you pull the wick out of the stem a little bit and trim off the burnt end. Highly recommend. Only issue I'd say is the charger connection is a little wonky. You have to gently slightly adjust it to make sure the connections make contact, thus the reason for only 4 stars. When the wick runs out I'm not clear on how to replace it but I'll figure it out and follow up on this review. Other than that, this thing is super cool and so glad I bought it! Read more

This is a great concept. It just doesn't work well. It's really difficult to undo the screw at the bottom to fill the lighter with fluid. And then the fluid seems to run out VERY quickly. And the top part that creates the flame seems to just die after a week or so. I wanted to love it, but the execution of this idea isn't quite there yet. Read more
