The other reviewer and all should know.. a single REMOTE CAN PAIR w/ 2 lamps!
UPDATED AFTER 2 YEARS ********** ---- Functions ---- I saw another reviewer giving 4 stars saying that they can't pair the remote to 2 lamps but that's FALSE, YOU CAN PAIR a remote to 2 LAMPS simultaneously! Just be sure to point the remote generally in the middle of both lamps, then hold the button until flashing to be paired. The angle and position of the remote truly matters between the two lamps to signal both. I just had to write this review b/c I don't want people to miss out on this wonderful lamp from misinformation. So once both are paired, you should know something. I'll tell ya it's happened many times where I turned on or off only ONE lamp of the two that makes it inconvenient.. I'd be off to the side or corner of the room with the remote when this happened, so again I stress that angle/position matters to get them both, or you'll be faced with struggling to turn one on while it turns the other off..! ---- PROTIP ---- However, if that happens, you can press + hold the power button for ~1 sec as you wave your hand over to another position to signal the other lamp, if that makes sense. Like waving hi but at different axises (sounds silly but that's what I found works). Or if that's still a struggle, you can manually press the footswitch of one lamp, press remote for the other lamp, then press that same footswitch again so they become both on or off at the same time. And I don't know about others but if I press the power button fast repeatedly, it would unpair the lamps from the remote, so be patient with pressing it if that's the case for you. On a side note, I dunno about 3+ lamps being paired since I've only done it for 2 but my guess is it would work, just make sure they aren't too close together from the rooms to interfere.. in which case, you should probably try to pair with their designated remotes only. ----- Warning ----- If you are above or below a floor level with the same lamps, beware that you might accidentally pair them (this goes for next door neighbors too if they happen to have the same lamp nearby). It was a strange incident in my upstairs bedroom when my mom would tell me the lamp in the living room was malfunctioning again. That's when I realized I paired it by mistake and was turning her lamp on/off.. HAHA, and yes, it happened more than once! To Remedy this, just make use of the footswitch to pair it properly, as instructed above. My thoughts ********** : I find this lamp design timeless and a lovely addition to the home. I use 2 of them in my room and appreciate the 5 modes to change it quickly when needed. I'm sensitive to light temperatures/brightness and this helps set the mood and focus in my bedroom/work studio. The lowest brightness + warmest temperature bring ease to the eyes for the night and mornings. The cool temperatures in general help me take better pictures without that yellow tint in usual indoor light settings. There is some wobble to the pole but I don't have pets where it might be a concern. In general, it was simple to assemble and the remote is about 6"x1.5" but with useful functions for convenience--I added silicone bumpers on the back so it wouldn't clank on things. Sometimes I do wish it were brighter but for the bedroom or living room, it's a solid choice. Maybe there are compatible bulbs with a higher wattage for a brighter light, will update if I come across it after the bulbs finally die out. I'm happy that I haven't had to change them though in the 2 years I've had them haha Overall, I love this lamp and highly recommend it if you are looking for an above-average-functional floor lamp with a timeless design, decent brightness and a convenient, handy remote. I know of 5 more purchases of this lamp by others since first buying it for myself and would still recommend it to others. Thanks and may you enjoy these lamps too <3 Read more
