This is a very effective medication to stop the effects of bad digestion issues. It's also VERY costly when it comes from the vet's office. Amazon has the best price that I can find. My two beagle mix dogs often have digestion issues multiple times a year. My vet prescribed Pet Protect Probiotic Balance and I could believe the insane cost of it. Of course the vet doesn't tell you that it's something you can buy over the counter without a prescription at a MUCH lower price. Thank goodness I decided to do a search on Amazon when the vet wanted me to keep giving my dog more doses after I had used the last tube purchased from them. It definitely works quickly and the dogs like the taste very much and I don't detect any smell but to be honest I do have a defective sense of smell. Both pet tails are wagging when they get their doses. So I highly recommend you have this product on hand for those unexpected bouts of digestion problem. This a great pre/probiotic oral gel that I give to both my dogs when they have stomach upset. On occasion my dogs suffer with stomach issues and this stuff helps. It was a breeze to administer as the boys gobbled it up like a yummy treat! My vet recommended this product after a course of antibiotics was required for my doggos (both had bacterial infections which caused them severe diarrhea). It was noticeably beneficial! It was substantially less expensive from Amazon in comparison to what the veterinarian clinics charge. ADDENDUM: One reviewer was concerned by the manufacturer instructions calling for a larger dose for larger dogs, and I was also concerned that my vet should have instructed me to use more than one tube (for my 130lb giant dog), but after addressing this concern with my vet, she assured me I should only give the tube in 3 doses (roughly 10g per day). I can happily report this stuff worked wonders for my Giganto in that dosage! This is powerful stuff!
