I use this as a weight vest and for the price cant beat it. It is similar to the 5.11 weight vest but at a 1/3 the price. I have 22lbs in the vest and it has held up great, its comfortable on the shoulders even with the weight and small enough it doesn't get in the way of your arms moving. Overall, the vest is awesome. I've only used it for a month - 3-5x a week for walking and workouts. So far, it's great. My only real knock is the width of the shoulder opening. This is probably my personal issue because of my build. I have a 20" neck and some traps so the opening is a little small. But, other than getting it over my head, it fit great and rides well. There are no directions for how to adjust the vest. A little looking and I figured it out. It does take time to feed the wire through everything so with multiple adjustments it's a pain. However, once you get it adjusted to your body, you'll never have to adjust it again. I'm debating if I want a heavier vest for challenges, etc ... It works so good that I wish I didn't buy it. In the first place easy to use also, you can barely feel the weight on your body. It's not the hard to clean. It doesn't leave your bruises when you go for a run also. working out you can put your belongings in a bag it's gonna be on your front chest. I had my keys, my phone I could barely feel it. This plate carrier is well made, but is lacking in adjustability. I can see where it should adjust, but the loops that you have to pull the cable and Velcro tabs through are too small. I have even tried with a pair of pliers to squeeze them through with no luck. I am a smaller person so my head just fits through so I wear it but I take it on/off slowly.
