Just got this knife and all I can say is WOW! I always heard that PF knives have good fit and finish, and the bunta is no different. Good size, weight, and feel. Super sharp. Really nice G10 handles. The media could not be loaded. I’ve heard some really good things about Petrfied Fish knives! I like multiple deployment and I saw this one in my price range and thought I’d give it a try! I wasn’t disappointed! This is a very impressive knife for the $32 I paid! The action is snappy, buttery smooth and drop shut on release of the liner lock! The ergonomics are awesome just feels great in the hand! The D2 blade is 3.5 inches and came razor sharp! It’s a mid size knife almost 8 inches overall! My favorite size! Has a reversible clip that attaches under the g10 scales, so no screws to catch on your pocket! Blade opens several ways! The hole in the blade is well designed and placed for thumb open or reverse flick! Can’t say enough good things about this knife! Really like it! Read more

Almost the perfect flipper.... I really like everything about the knife and if 4.5 stars were an option, that would be where I'd put it. The grip and the way it feels in hand. The flip to open feels smooth, secure, and solid. The blade is sharp and retains it's edge extremely well. It's small enough for every day carry but big enough to tackle larger tasks. The only single complaint I have is the location of the retention clip. It's reversible but it's on the wrong end of the knife with no way to change that. Read more

I've been waiting to be asked for my review and I cannot be more enthusuastic. I have over forty different folders of different brands and varieties but I cannot recall ever being more pleased than I was to recieve inspect and use this flipper! Materials (Black G10/D2 Steel) fit and finish are excellent and comparable with the very best. Operation is smooth as butter, balance, grip and lock-up are excellent, very sharp out of the box, a truly deep carry non-snag clip and just the right size both opened and closed for my new EDC. Previous EDC was the great Large Honey Badger Tanto (still a favorite) but wanted something a bit smaller and was thinking of their Medium Tanto but glad I chanced on this crazy good Petrified Fish instead. This is my third P.F., an ordered "Hourglass" (2+ weeks ago, high demand I guess), a "mini-Beluga" and this "Bunta". I have many top brands and favorites that are outstanding but these P.F.'s do compete admirably. On to the Bunta. Quite impressive. It has good weight, solid build, great ergos, sharpness and obvious great workmanship and Q.C. What most impressed me was the action. Some have mentioned it being "rough" to open which for me wasn't the case. The fullers edge for me is not nearly as sharp as some have mentioned. The flipper, the same. It snaps open and it drops so smoothly it was obviously tuned perfectly and the blade was centered and sharp. I like the blade shape/geometry, and it is ground evenly. Unique enough to be different, good cutting edge. The materials are well chosen to keep this in the budget range at $30 +or-. Highly recommend! I must say, for a Knife that was $32.99, this Knife is well designed & built. It was sharp, but not Razor sharp. I did the proverbial Paper slice test & it did decently well. I did the Redneck sharp test by shaving some Hair off my Arm, & it did Ok, but not Razor sharp as some have indicated. A few passes on the Strop made it Razor sharp. It shaves with very little effort now. The flipper was good, but I took it apart & cleaned it up & lubed it up (I'm a little OCD) about my Knives LOL. It's Butter smooth now. The Pocket Clip is one of the best "Deep Pocket" Clips that I've ever seen in a budget Knife. It literally disappears in your Pocket. I'm extremely satisfied with this Knife thus far. Time will tell to the longevity of it, but I'm optimistic & at this price point, you can't go wrong. If you're on the Fence about picking this Knife up, get it. You won't be disappointed. Read more
