This grooming kit is great for my small corky that we ended up rescuing. He seems to have the worst tear stains that we have to continuously. Keep up with. I typically start with using a warm wash rag to soften up the tear stains and then the rest of the products that came within this package help assist getting the rest of the tear stain eye boogers out of our babies eyes. I was surprised that these were as good quality as they are based on the price. None of the teeth in the smaller combs were excessively sharp. This is an essential part of any cat owners arsenal when they own long haired cats, especially Persians. Their faces need to be wiped every time they eat, every time they drink water, the list goes on, and we are always trying to comb the fur right under their eyes without poking them, so you really do need something like this for yourself and if you are a breeder, it's a nice touch to put one of these in your clients gift bag when they are picking up. It works extremely well, the size is perfect from the comb to the Little brush especially to the one that you use right under the eyes, it's pretty sharp on the pink comb, but the little blue one is not as abrasive. The value for the money is exceptional, I would highly recommend these sets. The only thing that could have done better was maybe included the cream for the tear stains, but I realize that would bump the price up. Read more

I have a medium to long haired cat who tends to mat up quite a bit. These mats can get very painful if they get tight, and she absolutely hates being brushed. I can't say it's really easy to use because she fights it but if she didn't it would be very easy to use. The dematting rake really does its job on the mats that aren't too tight and untangles them and cuts away some of the fur that needs to be cut in order to do so. I really only use the rake for the most part, but every now and then I do use the cutters to get the bad ones. I love that it comes with a brush to clean the fur out of it, and despite the fact that she hates being brushed - she definitely fights me a lot less now that I use this, since the demanding rake is nice and sharp and gets the fur without pulling as much. It's nice to be able to terrorize her a little bit less - as she's not even a cat that really likes to be petted a lot, she's quite persnickety. Read more
