I finally had an opportunity to try my new PGF clubs out. As with any new club, there was some adjusting to the clubs, but as an overall experience, I'm looking forward to getting to know these clubs better days, months and years ahead. The clubs performed very well, even though I didn't 😉. I'm not a pro or a club aficionado, however my overall experience was extremely positive. The driver is a monster! It was easy to swing and felt well weighted in both myh back and forward swing. The shaft stiffness was appropriate for my strength and speed of swing and I'd like to say, did improve my natural slice that come mostly from my swing technique (or lack thereof). The rest of the clubs played as well and although I'm far from being consistently good, I feel these clubs will improve my outings as I continue to get more familiar with them each round. The golf bag was a huge step up to my previous bag. It is a standup bag, so it does have self-deploying legs which is nice if you carry your bag... I don't and hope that never becomes a thing 😁. The pocket availability is perfect for what I need to carry onto the golf course, especially the ball pocket which is large for players like me that go through a lot of balls (seriously... I lost 4 balls on one hold yesterday. I didn't know that was even possible 😮). The only fault I found with this club set was the putter. Nothing wrong with its weight, grip or shaft, but the putter head ball pickup cleats, are set apart wider than a golf ball so using the cleats to pick up the ball has become a little more of a challenge. On a positive note, this putter was working for me yesterday. I was putting a good line and sank more long puts than I have for a long time. Note: If you want long irons, (3, 4 & 5) in your bag, you'll need to add these separately because the longest iron that comes with this set is a 6. I think the hybrid will cover that range of irons, but that's just a guess. Very highly recommend this set up clubs. Easy to hit and have shown to be more forgiving that my previous set, so I'm very pleased 👍 Read more
I bought this golf club set and I need to be upfront: I am not a good golfer. One might say I'm bad at golf, but I didn't have any clubs and was really excited to get these to try out. Occasionally friends will ask me to go golfing, and it's nice to show up to play with my own clubs instead of renting them at the clubhouse. That alone makes this purchase worthwhile for me. I took these to the driving range to test them out, and for a beginner, they're great. I don't think an advanced player will appreciate this set very much or get significant use out of it—except maybe as an extra set for a friend who doesn't have their own clubs. These are a great starter set for students or beginners, especially if they're not really sure if they're gonna stick with the sport or not. This set is not that expensive by comparison to other complete golf sets, and it's an incredible value to include 10 clubs plus the bag. I would say these are above average compared to other starter sets I've seen. The clubs feel decent, the bag is functional, and everything you need to get started is included. I don't know if it says anything about me, but I will likely get the most use out of the putter going to the miniature golf course with my family. That's probably more my speed anyway. This would be a great set to start off with and slowly replace clubs one at a time or two at a time until you have the set of your dreams. It's definitely a great place to start without breaking the bank. Even when I'm done playing with these, I'll likely pass them on to my kids so they have a set of clubs to play with when they go out with their friends. Highly Recommended Read more
If you are looking for a golf set that doesn't just perform well but actually looks and feels like a high-end custom setup, the PGF Labs BD-77 Package is it. I’ve gone through my fair share of starter and intermediate sets, and the build quality here is on an entirely different level. What sets this kit apart: Exceptional Build Quality: From the moment you unbox these, you can feel the craftsmanship. The driver and woods feel solid and well-balanced, and the irons have a weight and finish that you usually only see in much more expensive professional brands. There are no "cheap" corners cut here—the ferrules are clean, the grips are tacky and durable, and the shafts have a consistent flex that instills confidence. Stunning Aesthetics: These clubs look incredible in the bag. The sleek, modern design of the heads combined with the premium finish gives them a very "pro" look. I’ve already had a few people on the range ask me what brand they were because the visual appeal is so striking. Thoughtful Engineering: The 460cc Driver: It’s rare to find a driver in a package set that feels this stable. The titanium head construction is top-notch. The Irons/Wedges: The perimeter weighting is precise, making them very forgiving without sacrificing that sleek look at address. The Putter: Even the putter feels premium, with a great matte finish and alignment aids that actually feel integrated into the design rather than just painted on. The Complete Package: The bag and headcovers match the quality of the clubs perfectly. It doesn’t feel like an "accessory" thrown in at the last minute; it’s a cohesive, professional-grade setup. Final Thoughts: Usually, with complete package sets, you expect a few "filler" clubs that feel lower quality. That is not the case with the BD-77. Every single piece of equipment in this set feels intentional and well-made. If you want a set that performs as good as it looks, this is the one to get. Read more
