My old Norelco was pulling at my whiskers making shaving a morning torture experience. Then I bought the 7200 and it is like running a silk pillow over my face. Hard to believe my whiskers are gone, even a two day growth. Cleans under running water too. A bit more expensive than the basic electric and a little clumsy to use at first, but worth it. Shave is close for an electric. But my beard is white. Read more

I've been using Philips shavers for years. This model I really like, although it took a few times to get the hang of it. At first, I used the application, it'll show how you're doing using the razor, but that got old after a week or so. I no longer use the application, but I still think the razor it nice. Although you can use the shaver wet or dry, I use it dry and I get a nice smooth even shave every time. I would highly recommend this shaver to family and friends. Read more

I bought this shaver to replace my previous one, a Phillips Norelco wet and dry electric shaver 8000 series (specifically S8950), which had served me well for many years. Unfortunately, it was dropped and got broken (the head was out of alignment and noisy). I wanted to just buy another identical model to replace it, but I was disappointed to find that it's discontinued. This product, the Series 7000, appears to be the replacement model for that same tier of product. - I have more gripes than positive things to say, so I'll get the complaints out of the way first: There's noticeably more drag against my skin, sliding the shaver head across my face. Maybe it's because of the texture of the surface of the head; maybe it's because there's simply more physical surface area on this head than on the old one. On that topic, the marketing material promotes the "nano skin glide" texture on the bezels, to help reduce friction, but lemme tell you what - you wouldn't need to worry so much about reducing friction if you didn't add a ton of UNNECESSARY SURFACE AREA around the bezels! That extra surface area is pointless. The expanded bezels serve no utilitarian purpose and they get in the way when shaving your upper lip, making it harder to get a clean shave all the way up under the nose. The 8000 series had such a sensible bezel design, it might even have been possible to minimize them even more, but instead they went the opposite direction and tried to make it look like Optimus Prime. I'm also not really a fan of the fact that the head flips open on a hinge rather than just popping all the way off like my old model. If I tap it against the sink edge to shake out the stubble debris, the hinge pops out and the lid falls off into the sink. The flip-up feature isn't actually helpful for ease of cleaning. Furthermore, I do not want to connect my shaver to an app on my phone. The only thing I want to connect my shaver to is a power outlet when it needs to be recharged. I don't need to pay more for a shaver with a built-in accelerometer and a web-connected app that tells me whether I'm waving the shaver in circles hard enough. I've been shaving my face for over 35 years and I know the angles at which the hair grows out of my neck far better than an app programmed by someone who hasn't even been alive that long. I can discern the effectiveness of my shaving technique by feeling my face with my fingers. I don't need an app to tell me how to do it better. - That said, here's what good I can say about it: It delivers the best, smoothest electric shave I've ever had. Read more

Bought this because my old Norelco just wouldn't do it any longer. Even with new blades, it pulled and tugged...not very pleasant. Normally I shave with soap/brush/safety razor, and use the electric on off days. This 7200 honestly shaves within 99% of what I can do with the safety razor. In short, it's great. Best shave I've ever had from an electric. Read more

I’ve been using Norelco razors for thirty-five years. In that time I’ve owned about seven or eight models. One of the best was a pocket sized, battery-operated two blade one when I was in the Army. Kept my shave in check all day, wherever, whenever. I’ve always had the rotary style and have finally chose this new style after it being out for several years. The design is strange but the shave is extremely close. Even after new blades and a fresh charge on my six year old Aquatec, the 7900 still provided a closer shave in half the time. It doesn’t hold as many whiskers as the rotary style so it should be emptied and brushed out daily to avoid clogging the blades. This kit includes a case, stand and charger but does not include a protective cap. I prefer the new cable to save space and allow me to charge wherever. I travel for work so these accessories are important. I purchased a cover separately but it should be included. I do have a few issues to call out with the design. First, the way 360-D floating heads are designed, there is space in between that sometimes catch my skin between them and pinch. I have to be really careful along my chin. Second, the pentagram shape of the head is very large and is tough to be shave precise around the sideburns and upper lip. These should be smaller to allow the heads to fit closer together. Third, I don’t want to download or use an app to track my shaving or tell me how to improve it. As previously stated, I’ve been using electric razors for at least thirty-five years and an additional five years with a blade & cream, I should know by know how to do this without help. Give me the option to turn off the flashing lights prompting me to connect the razor or how to optimize my usage. Read more
