The consistent heat has worked wonders for my blepharitis, and the auto-shutoff feature is a massive relief—I can fall asleep comfortably knowing it won't overheat or burn my eyes. It has three settings high medium and low and it is adjustable. I did have to buy two however because the charge takes a little bit longer than I'd like and I like to wear one in the morning and one at night so I just keep one charged at all times and also you have to keep it very clean so the "slip" comes off and you have to clean the silk with a very soft detergent like more like for a baby but it does dry quickly. The company has spread lavender all over it. They say you can wash it and that is not true. The heating element is still cloth and it is covered with this sickly artificial lavender.
