Why did you pick this product vs others?: I'm giving this little trinket box 4 stars because for the reasonable price, it is definitely worth it. These are not super quality enameled boxes sought after by serious collectors, but if you're looking for an impressive presentation for a small piece of jewelry or even a fancy candy, this would be an appreciated way to do it. The beehive trinket box has some weight to it and the hinge seems solid and works well. The magnets that hold it closed are strong. The enameling is light in some areas and you may find a small bubble or two in the coating but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance of this box. The painted stripes on the bodies of the bees aren't neatly done; the lines are definitely not straight but again, unless you're scrutinizing the piece, it's not a deal breaker. The "honey" in the entrance of the hive is made to look as though it is oozing out and is a nice touch. The pink color of the hive is soft and pleasing. It comes in a thin cardboard box that is wrapped with pretty, gold textured paper and lined on the inside with white faux satin which gives it an elevated presentation. Again, for the affordable price of this little piece, it's a good buy. Add it to your collection or give it as a gift. You'll be pleased with it, most likely. Read more
