Clingy material and and a bit slim

I ordered the Pinspark polo in dark red in 3XL. I am 6’5” and 300 lb and typically wear a 2XL or 3XL and try as often as possible to get them in Tall sizes. I have found many major label brands tend to fit well in 2XL while many of the lesser known brands that are heavily Amazon dependent run a bit slim and I opt for 3XL. With this shirt, I opted for the 3XL. And unfortunately, no tall size was available. When the shirt arrived, I felt the color was excellent. Taking it out of the package, the fabric had that breathable quick dry fabric feel… kind of smooth… almost slick feeling. But it felt nice regardless. Material weight seemed pretty good. Not super thick but not thon. Construction appeared good. Seams and stitching all looked good with no noted loose threads. Everything was looking good… until I tried it on. So fit… In the 3XL, it fit reasonably well but I expected there to be a bit more room than there was, but it wasn’t too bad. The fit seemed to fall in line with my method of picking sizing. The length was a bit shorter than I had hoped for. It also wasn’t too bad, but any shorter and I wouldn’t wear it. But again, bear in mind I’m 6’5” and this was not a “tall” size. Just a caution for my fellow taller shoppers out there. Where this started to become a miss for me was the aforementioned slick feeling fabric. Apparently it behaves like Velcro when there are undergarments involved. I usually wear a compression shirt. The polo shirt absolutely loved that compression shirt and clung to it in every possible way. Overall, I really like the shirt and wish it was just a bit different… sized a bit better and not so clingy to other fabrics. At the time of ordering the shirt was listed at $25. It’s current price is $20. Not a terrible price in either case, offering a decent value for money when compared to the major labels. For me, this shirt is a 4 star item. Mainly for the fit and just how the material clung to the shirt beneath it. If you don’t do undershirts, are normal sized, including for height, this one might work for you better than it worked for me. Read more

Light, breathable polo with a nice sheen and a more slimming fit than most

I’m not much of a golfer. I’m more of a “drive the cart and drink cold beverages with my golfer friends” kind of guy, so I wanted a shirt that would at least make me look like I belonged on the course. This polo absolutely does that. It’s not spring yet, but we got one of those almost-spring days that was nice enough to get out on the course and give this shirt a proper test drive. It was not blazing hot, but the sun was definitely strong enough that my uncovered arms felt warmer than the parts covered by the shirt, so it was a good chance to see how it handled a sunny day outdoors. The fit was true to size for me, and I was especially happy with the cut. The upper half of me is pretty squarely a medium, while the lower half is more of a “medium+,” and this shirt still fit nicely in both places. The fabric has a little forgiveness to it, and the inward-curving side panels give it a slimming look that is a lot more flattering than a boxy polo. The material is lightweight, breathable, and comfortable in the sun. The textured fabric looks nice, but it also seems to work like micro vents, helping the shirt stay cool and airy. The fabric also has a nice stretch to it, which adds comfort without making it look overly casual. In fact, it still looks polished and professional enough that I’d feel perfectly comfortable wearing it to work or when visiting customers. The color was exactly what I expected, and the fabric has a subtle sheen that makes it look more stylish and higher quality than a basic polo. One detail I really liked was the collar. Even with the top buttons undone, it keeps its shape instead of flopping open and looking sloppy. It also looks good both tucked and untucked, although I preferred wearing it untucked. There are also two small sleeve pockets that I assume are meant for golf pencils, but they are handy for other small items too. I tried a pen-style screwdriver in one and it fit perfectly, so I could also see them being useful for markers or similar slim accessories. The label says machine wash cold/cool at 30C / 86F, low-heat iron only, do not bleach, and do not tumble dry. Since it is 100% polyester, it should dry quickly and hold its shape well. Overall, this is a sharp-looking, comfortable polo that works great for sunny weather and does a nice job balancing casual comfort with a polished look. Whether you are actually golfing, heading to work, visiting customers, or just tagging along like I was, this one is an easy 5-star shirt. Read more

Nice Basic Polo, Fair Price

Nice enough polo-style shirt... Very general, very plain, but that's not a bad thing. Not every piece of clothing needs, or even should be, flashy. It fit true to size, felt comfortable and the price is very reasonable. I did not find the collar itchy or anything, and the color looked nice. It is 100% polyester and it feels like it. That can be good or bad, depending on what you like. For 15bucks, it's a good shirt, better if you catch it on sale. Read more

The color looks a bit different in person

This is a good, functional performance polo with a fit that matches the description fairly well. For reference, I usually wear 3XLT when I need a shirt that will stay tucked in throughout the day. This one is a standard 3XL, and the length matches that/is appropriate (just means I can’t tuck it). The cut is slightly less boxy than many big and tall sizes. It leans more toward an athletic shape than a relaxed fit, which lines up with the listing’s note about sizing up if you prefer a looser feel. In that sense, the sizing and overall shape seem consistent with how it’s described. The color is good, but it does look a bit different in person compared to the listing photos to me. The photos gave me the impression of a more matte finish. In reality, the fabric has a slight sheen in certain lighting, which makes the shirt appear a touch lighter than expected. I still like the color, just not quite as much as I liked how it appeared online. The fabric feels like most quick-dry performance materials. It’s not especially soft, but it performs well. It wicks moisture effectively and dries quickly, which is the main reason to buy this type of shirt in the first place. If this were available in tall sizes, I would buy more to wear at work. As it stands, I’d still consider buying again for situations where a regular-length athletic polo makes sense. Read more
