Pinup Fashion High Waisted Swim Skirt - Women Ruched Ruffle Bathing Suit Bottom Skorts with Built-in Shorts

I'm writing this long LONG review in the hopes I can save others from a 2 week trial of research, ordering and returning. I'm going to Disney World next week and to one of their water parks, you know - the kind with fast water slides, a lazy river and a wave pool, etc. AND ICE CREAM! But I digress . . .I'm in my late 50s and don't want to look like a frumpy person, and needed to put together a swim outfit that is SUPER comfy, won't ride up or fall off, is reasonably cute, and covers a lot of skin so I don't burn to a crisp (in spite of sunscreening myself in a 2 inch thick layer of the stuff.) I've ordered and sent back 4 other skirted swim bottoms - because they pull on my tummy and make me look 6 months pregnant. (That would be the immaculate conception, not happening.) This one ACTUALLY looks cute, does not emphasize my tummy, is tight enough to not fall off and comfy! I'm 5'9" and weigh around 170, with (as I've said 8 times already, lol) a noticeable belly. The ruffles or tiers on this skirt are the magic -- they fall away from the body so they balance out the belly, thus making me look smaller there than I am. (Hey, yes, love your body as it is!! For sure! But also if there is something I don't love so much, then I want to camouflage that when possible.) I usually wear a size 12 in most pants and the Large fits me well. This also seems to be the most durable-feeling and high-quality of the bottoms I ordered. In case, like me, you need a top to go with this, I got the tankini called the Tempt Me High Neck Tankini Top with keyhole neckline. It's PERFECT with this swim skirt and so cute! I also picked up a rash guard, full zip top. I got the LURANEE Women's Zip Up Rash Guards for Women Long Sleeve Swimsuit UV Sun Protection. I got a print with black and it looks like it's a coordinated outfit that was sold together, super cute and hopefully keeps me cooler with something covering my arms. You can leave the front opened all the way or zip it up for the water slide action! :) Hope this review is helpful. This swim skirt is everything I hoped for—cute, comfortable, and confidence-boosting. These fit me perfectly and are super duper cute. However, I docked a star because of function. I feel like if I lifted myself out of a pool, the weight of the water on the skirt would pull it RIGHT OFF. Maybe I should’ve ordered a smaller size, but I’ll just be mindful of it when exiting the pool. A smaller size might cause my tummy to muffin out of the top, lol! As they are they’re very flattering. Great product for us modest girlies. Being a mom of two, I enjoy this product for its coverage. It is high waisted and covers my tummy well. After washing and laying flat to dry many times, the color has still not faded. When it is wet it does not feel weighed down. The material is flowy and fun to wear with any style top. Read more

Super flattering I absolutely ❤️this swim skirt it's perfect , fits great and looks better than I thought it could I have serious scars on my thighs that make it uncomfortable for me to wear traditional bikini bottoms but this skirt doesn't look or feel like I'm trying to hide anything it looks like a fashion choice .
