Snug fit to keep winds out around the wrist and waist. My waist size is 36, and my weight is 190, with a mostly flat stomach, and standing 5-10. I purchased a large. I do not think heavyweight men would be happy unless they bought a size or two larger. I was able to try out once in windy 32 degrees, very comfortable and warm, but probably not for 0 degrees. Arrived on time and packaged well. It fits as described and the drawstrings at the waist help make it tighter. I wanted this coat for Chicago winters (10 degrees) and to cut down on the amount of layers I wore to work. This definitely does the trick I feel insulated, and even more so with just one hoodie underneath. It feels like it cuts through the wind and the hood is a welcome feature as well. I bought this coat as a replacement. I was looking for a down jacket with a hood. This is a good coat, especially at that price! I have worn the coat in weather in the upper 20s with the wind chill, and it was warm. The hood is large and roomy, but can be pulled tighter. The outer pockets are roomy, and the single inner pocket is large enough for what I need. I would like it to have more inner pockets, but for what it costs, it is a good value. Read more

I purchased this coat for travel through Canada in December. I wore it outside in predominately -5 to - 10 degree weather. I'm from the SE USA. This coat kept me warm the whole time with hood up or down. Hood was great to limit wind exposure. When wearing inside, it was comfortable and I was not overheated. It's made from high quality water resistant materials. I was exposed to icy mists near frozen waterfalls and the jacket performed well without any leakage. Zippers are well made and appear durable with no issues. For air travel I packed the jacket in the zippered 12 X12 bag that comes with it. I had multiple items in my back pack and the jacket fully compressed down. It fluffed up immediately and there is no bunching of the down at all. The hood is attached and the front can be tightened with the attached cord. It has a zippered pocket inside that is adequate for my cell and gloves, cap. Outside pockets are comfy and zippered as well. The label says its washable but I haven't tried to wash it yet. Comparable jackets would cost twice, three times as much. I love this jacket, and it keeps me just a warm as my over $400 North Face goose down jacket. It appears to be well built and I think very stylish. It looks so much better in person than in the advertisement picture. I was scared it would not look nice, but now I will buy another one for my son who also thinks this jacket is very cool and stylish looking. It is light weight, but generously over stuffed with lots of very warm down, but compacts small for traveling. nice warm jacket. wish it had bigger pockets. it needs more pockets inside on top and bottom for wallet, phone, and pens and markers as well as fully waterproofed with an internal key ring hook in 1 inside and outside pocket. an internal large padded to fit ipad. make the hood able to fold hidden into the collar also. black out or leave out on the front and just highlight the brand logo stamp instead, and this jacket will out sell all the other puffers around.
