Update: I just had to order a 2nd pair of these sweatpants. Received them today. These are the best ever. These sweatpants remain wrinkle free and snag free after considerable use so far. But I want another pair to wear while the other is in the washer, lol. I feed a lot of feral cats here (I live next door to large state forest and large river) and the little ones try to climb up my legs when I go to feed them. But I'm quite pleased to see that these sweatpants will not snag if you too have cats, lol. They hold up very well to considerably use AND remain very comfortable, warm, and wrinkle free the entire time. And they fit me perfectly (be sure to measure yourself to get the perfect size). If you have to keep your heating set low in the house during the winter, these will keep you warm inside and out. The extreme cold came early here this winter and these sweatpants even slowed me to set the thermostat inside lower and still remain very comfortable. ----- These sweatpants have wider legs than the pairs of trim/fitted sweatpants I also ordered. This was intentional in case I wanted to layer something else underneath, like long underwear when experiencing severe cold. I live rural, so I need to be prepared for bad weather that could cause an extended power outage or if I'm forced to work on something outside during extreme cold. Order 1 size up. Great pants, extremely warm and comfortable. Just wish all of these size charts on Amazon and companies represented would have real American Sizing. I've been a Medium all of my life, I'm 62, and still wear a medium. However, looking at the size chart and experience with other sites, I knew that a Large was likely my fit. I live in New England, and during the winter keep my house at 68 degrees. For a few years, I've worn Amazon Basic sweatpants on days when I'm staying at home. They were okay, but baggy and not too warm. I've had these Pioneer sweatpants about a week, and wowza, I could tell immediately that they warm my legs. The fleece lining is very noticeable. Every time I put these on, my legs smile. The bottom of the legs are cuffed so heat doesn't escape from there. As far as fit, I have a 35" waist and I'm 5' 11" tall. I got the Large and the fit is just right. A medium would definitely have been too small. An Extra-Large probably would have worked, but I like the not-baggy feel of the Large. Since I haven't needed the drawstring, I took a leap of faith and pulled out the entire cord since the elastic waistband is all I need. Probably the best cold weather sweat pants I've ever owned. I'm a year round bicyclist who likes to stay warm while I ride not matter what the temperature is. Personally I can't see the prices they are demanding for cold weather bicycle gear. Actually I can. They are striving for light weight. These pants are not what you'd call light weight. They are even heavy for sweat pants. They are probably the most comfortable sweat pants I've worn. These are definitely worth the price. I followed the size guide and though Amazon recommended a large for me, i purchased the XL size and they fit great. They don't look too bad either. I like the dark gray. As to how well they'll hold up in the laundry I can't attest to at the moment. They've yet to be washed. Read more
