Sturdy plastic so it shouldn't break. I have not dropped it as of now so I can't really stay for sure that it won't break or crack. The top snaps into place easily yet securely and that makes it easy to handle as I take it in and out of the refrigerator. Read more

The new butter dish is wonderful. It is heavyweight plastic and the sides clip onto the top to keep it from falling off. The top is high so the butter does not press against the top and smear. The top also seals well and keeps the butter fresh. Read more

Very good butter dish, works well and locks the lid on just fine. One handed operation is still possible when you have toast or a bagel in your other hand. Bought it to hopefully combat my cat from knocking it off the counter and breaking it (like my last one) but taking a fall from the counter to a tile kitchen floor still broke this one, albeit it received just a crack and one of the sides doesn’t lock any more, but is still functional. A little more aggressive rubberized bottom to prevent sliding and a little stouter plastic and it would be near perfect. Read more
